Ron's Z just got into an accident. In this month alone, I have heard about 4 Z got into an accident because of the rain. Is the Z really bad to drive in the rain? I have my VDC always on and I can feel my car sticks to the ground pretty good in the rain.

I will advise all to stay off State highway 78 heading toward Salton Sea as well. My wife and I wanted to take the car out for a cruise, just to see what sort of gas mileage it would get on the highway. We were out and about in the rain, and it got a bit too much about 20 miles or so from our destination. We drove through one spot where the water was running over the road maybe a couple of inches, but not a mile down the road from there it was almost a foot. Had to turn around and go another way. The road was smooth, but on the way back we found all the soupy mud on it, and it found its way onto the car. Not a pretty sight, as the car got dirtier than it ever will again.

I would hate to end up as a statistic. The worse thing is if your car gets into a major accident and the insurance decide to fix it. The car will never be the same again. Actually the worse thing would be a casualty because you didn't heed to the rain. Drive safely people.

I was going just fine, about 55 mph (Base model noVDC) Turn the wheel about 5 degrees into a slight turn, hit a deep pocket of standing water on the fwy, tail came around passengerside and suddenly I was a "Top.

It's lucky I was driving defensively ,( with a big buffer zone all around me ), in the middle of the Fwy or It would have been curtains with both sides of the car totaled"

It was just one of those bad luck things...

I was heading to work this morning and watched some fuking idiot cross the double carpool lines and speed off at about 90-100 while the rain was so bad u couldnt even see. I was going about 60mph and he passed me like i was standing still. A holes like that put us all in danger. I hope he kills himself before he has a chance to hurt anyone.

People who drive 1/2 a car length or closer behind are total dickwads too.

ihatethatbobbarker,

Agreed with u 100%. I guess those guys are trying to show they are are "manly" or something.

Also, with beaters tailgating u. Scary is that some of the beaters don't have auto insurance.

For those 4x4 drivers behind you (measurement in cm) the best thing to do is just slow down, let them change lanes in preperation to pass you, and just when they're ready to get in front, downshift and leave them behind again. Let'em catch up, repeat.

It might have light rain on Monday, but I have a feeling it's going to be dry all week.

I sometimes thing the weather reports are over exagerated for California since other parts of the US gets interesting weather (snow, tornados, lots of rain, hurricans, etc).

Than again, the rain might come since I'm washing my car Sunday.

The other frustrating thing about this whole rain situation is that you never have enough sunny days between the rainy ones to justify a good wash and wax. My car is looking hideous and it's supposed to rain AGAIN in a couple of days.
