Default Another Speed Trap 101N Del Norte Oxnard/Camarillo....

101N, Del Norte Exit.

I exited Del Norte, and when I got to the top of the off ramp, I noticed a CHP car, perched off to the side of the ON RAMP to the 101N.

He had a perfect view of the North and South bound traffic, although I'm assuming from that position more interested in the North bound side.

You can NOT see him from the northbound side before you go under the overpass.

That sux, sorry to hear that, like I said, that was a perfect spot for him to be there.

I'm gonna post a couple more of these speed traps.

Default Speed Trap 405S, Between Victory Blvd and 118 Freeway

Mainly South Bound 405 (but be aware of this scenario), South of the 118, between Victory and the 118, there are those privacy/sound deadening walls they have built up along the sides of the freeway, right?

There are parts where the wall is actually overlapping a wall behind it, and there is about 2 or 3 of these types of overlaps.

The problem with the overlap is that a car and more easily a motorbike can sit in between the overlapping parts and easily catch you.

I go by there 5-10 times a week, depending on my clients, and there used to be about a 30% chance that I see one or the other tucked in there.

Default Speed Trap 118E/W Under 405N Overpass

I haven't seen them around for a while in the following locations, but there is another couple hideaway spots here in the valley, and some of us are very aware of them.

118E/W under the 405 overpass, there is an island with bushes, there are dirt tracks on both the East and West side where they can sit there, blocked by the bushes, and can easily nail you either direction.

I was recently out towards Oxnard again and I found the same speed trap operating just fine, keep your eyes out there because it is perfect for them. You can't see them at all but when you pass, they can easily nail you.

I'd keep an eye out for CHP anywhere on the 101 from Woodland Hills all the way to Ventura. They've been hot and heavy with the radar the last few weeks. My V1 has been picking them up almost every day. No particular spot, but there's a definite increase in activity.

101 in general all the way down to downtown.. they have those bus stops along the freeway, with a wall between the stop area and the rest of the freeway, cops reallllly like to chill there cuz unless you're looking for them you won't notice them on the other side.

dumbasses aren't even supposed to be there... what part of 'busses only' applies to them, i don't get.
