Lowest around the city of Orange area I've been going to is usually the Chevron on Chapman and Lewis across the street from the Crystal Cathedral.

I've seen more than one case where the Z in near-stock form pings on 91 octane under full load (dyno/track). 100 octane is definitely not necessary, but 3-4 gallons brings up any questionable tank to at least 93.

Contrary to what some may say, I believe it makes a difference and ensures the ECU adjusts for the best timing profile (improving performance).

4 gal @ $2 (over the price of 91 these days) costs $8 more than a regular tank. I'd definitely recommend it for drag and track days, or when you feel a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket. Those with reflashed ECU's and advanced timing (like myself) benefit the most from this.

Anyway, don't wanna hijack my own thread -- would like to keep this thread to the proper format for easily tracking good deals on gas. There are plenty of threads on high octane in the Z, only a search away.
