For those of you that really don't know what your Z "can" do, then I highly recommend tracking it!
A huge thanks to Scott Webb for teaching me the correct way around Buttonwillow. I reduced me times drastically once I knew how to get around the track. I had a awesome time and thanks to all the instructors at Buttonwillow, you did a great job!
Nice to see other familiar faces as well from here.
I took a few pics but only while gulping down a cold water after a session. Hot as Hell there today!
I can't wait for the next one!

We should probably run the morning session just by ouselves and get an instructor (i.e., Scott) to ride w/ you to see how much you have improved (hopefully not the other way around).

BTW, I racked up 115 miles on the track.
I filled up completely approx 20 miles away from the track prior to arriving at the track and filled up 10 gallons afterwards prior to going home. Buttonwillow Street gas station was like 5 miles away(?) from the track. I usually get 20+ mpg on hwys.
So that's like 13 mpg on the track? Is that good or bad? What were your guys mpg?

I'm glad that everyone had a good time - despite the heat! The Z group improved noticeably throughout the day, and that's the best result from an instructor's perspective. Of course it helps quite a bit to have drivers willing to listen and learn. I hope I was able to help.
The Z is a great car for track driving. The balance is about as good as it gets from a street car, and the Z just begs to be driven hard lap after lap. I don't think anyone had any car-related problems - even with 110+ temperatures.
See you at the next one!

I probably might make it out for the next one. I want to practice the shifting and flying off Magic Mountain (go over the hill safely).
Gas wise, I'll bring a full tank next time. I ate up about 6 gallons of gas, but I didn't do 1 and half session because I thought my car was running a wee bit too hot and needed an extra cooling down period. I thought I used up alot of gas, but when I went to fill up my Z, it said I still had 7 gallons worth of gas. I think my fuel gauge is lying to me half the time.
Since we're returning students, I guess we'll get to run on the track before the beginners.
