Hi ya Chad,

I was on this sight before I got my Z in Oct 2002. But with the many times the sight was down/not working/site lost my login/site not responding to emails for help, etc....I gave up for a while. I had no idea there was an SD meet in Clariemont. All I've ever noticed was a few meets in La Mesa on days I was busy. I thought most SD owners either weren't that enthusiastic or not organized or heck I don't know what. Every time I tried to arrange caravans or meets I ZERO responses until now. I'm so happy to know I'm wrong! Kindly provide a weblink to your meet details or thread. Hopefully it isn't a late starter since I'm up at 4:30am. Thanks!

I even drove up to La Mirada for a Z meet (and meat) BBQ this weekend past which was posted on the site. It was great and so cool of Tony to put it together & host it at his house!

I've never been to Stillen and your strong words of distaste have dampened my spirit a bit. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the experience....at least just once. All I heard was that parking was an issue and to get there early. I know several dedicated folks that have attended before and are happily attending again. The bestest part is just hanging out with other Z owners and shooting the breeze. Guess different strokes for different folks, eh?!?!?

Come on, be a trooper and join up! You'll get to meet us all that way!

cocos,

If we provide a link to the SD GTG ... we might scare you away. The thread has turned into a chat-room of sorts that has nothign at all to do with the meets.

.. that said ..

When: we meet every Tuesday night
Where: KMart on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. (between the 805 + 163)
Who: Zs, Gs ... and then a lot of other cars .. there was a Murcielago last week
Why: to make fun of each other ... oh yeah .. and to talk cars
Food: Wings n' Things, Sushi (its ok), Fusion (random stuff and boba) Subway, and Mexican

maybe we will see you out there sometime.

I dont think I will be going this weekend ... Noble Canyon is calling my name again ....

hey coco,
we meet at the kmart at 6:30pm, and hang around until about 7pm. after everyone shows up, we head to a strip mall 1 block away that has all of the restaurants that jim has described.

i am sure that you will have a great time at stillen. don't let my description hinder your trip. i am glad that i went once, and i am sure that it gets better every year. the first time i went, stillen didn't realize how many people were going to show up, and didn't really have a great spread. the next time it was pouring rain, so it was a wasted trip.

Chad, it is nothing personal, there are some of us that get up at 4AM, thus a 7PM meet is not that easy a thing to do. Add to that my wife doesn't even get home from work sometimes until after 7PM, that does make it difficult to get that quality time in with the wife before going to bed.
Having said that, I will try and make a meet here and there, but with my weird hours, I can not promise to be there week after week. I do look forward to meeting the ones that are in the area, but first I must complete my move, as I am in the process of moving to Santee.

I don't know if you have ever been to that Denny's but I have and I think you might want to find a different place then that. The parking lot is small and has a huge hill climb to get into it
