Angry Big F'in Rock

As I was coming in to work today I had a big a$$ rock fly from the other side of the 405fwy right into my windshield. Before I start looking for one of those mobile window replacement guys I wanted to ask all of you if you know of one in the Torrance area where I work. Are Z windshields expensive to replace??

Thanks
Brian (is having one of those days)

The actual chip is about the size of a dime, but it has spider cracks coming off of it too.

I always get glasswork done at SI Auto Glass in Garden Grove or Westminster. They do great work for a great price. I was receommended to them years ago from a friend of mine that does body work.

Risk,

I had the same thing happen to me the past weekend, but I was lucky that no chip occurred. Surprisingly, it was a huge rock too.

I have a mobilie glass guy coming out to replace it for $200 straight up. If I really shopped it, I could probably find a cheaper place, but I dont want to deal with it. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Brian,

safelite should do it for less than $200. I've got mine replace a month ago. they have this lifetime warranty against leak and worksmanship and the aftermarket windshield also has thesame lifetime warranty against leaks, cracking from heat and all sorts of stuff.

Sup Brian,
I had exactly the same incedent almost 2 years ago.You can have it fixed but the spider cracks are still gonna be visible.also if you are getting an aftermarket windshield, make sure it has those black spots that you see located on the upper middle part of the glass. The spots are for our rearview mirror,I saw one aftermarket that doesn't have them that's why i just went to my dealer and had it replaced..
