Angry Car deal gone wrong!!

Many of you saw my thread where I had traded my Z in for an '05 Yukon. Well, today the finance Manager called me up and told me that "we can't get the deal to finance." Im so pissed right now, Im seeing red!! I told him "what the hell do you mean, we went over this SEVERAL times while I was there, and now you call me up 2 days later and say we dont have a deal!?!?" I asked him what WOULD make the deal work and his reply was "We'll need another 5k down." I told him absolutely not!! I just bought a f'kin house, I cant afford another 5k for a truck right now. So I told him that I am bringing his truck back tonight and my Z had better be in the same condition that it was in when I left it there. Im soooo pissed

That happened to me a few years back but they ended up lowering the price of the car and it worked out.
I hate it when they let you leave first, that's not cool

Yeah, its a matter of priciple for me at this point. I think what they did, if not illegal, is definately unethical and they can keep their d@mn truck....just give me my Z and my cash back!!

That's total B.S.! The deal should be "final" as soon as you sign the papers & leave the dealership IMO.

hehe... the funny thing is it mite even take you awhile to get your money back.... the cash... cause I used to work at a dealership and they would try to do EVERYTHING AT ALL Possible to hold onto your cash for as long as possible and try to switch u to another car. Another one of the reasons that I stopped working as a car salesman. mite be different in cali

If you signed a contract, tell them where to stick their cheap tie clips.

They tried to pull that **** when my dad recently purchased our Denali. I wonder if it was the same place. So my dad basically said bring out old suv back and come pick up the Denali. They found financing pretty quick needless to say.

I for sure would not do the "lower model vehicle" thing. I traded in a beautiful Z and cut a deal for a new Yukon. If they want to back up and try to pawn off some sh1tbox on me, I walk...WITH my Z.

This might be helpful...

http://www.carbuyingtips.com/scams.htm#Scam3

Did you sign paperwork? If so, that's a contract and the dealer had better figure out how to honor it. Might be worth checking with your bank or credit union, or going through an e-loan site.

Hope it works out for you.

based on my experience as a past salesmen at Stuperior Nissan they use that as a sales gimmick.
1. Why would they let you drive off if the deal was not final.
2. You have a SIGNED contract that is breach of contract.
3. If you return the car now they can't sell the car as new so they lose money.

They are blowing smoke up your **** and if you give in then you are the sucker. I would stand your ground and fight it if I were you. We use that ish on many people at the dealer all the time. It amazes me how many people give in to this scam called BAIT AND SWITCH.....Don't give in Brian I know what they are doing to you....

I got my Z back!! I didnt realize that I had such "seperation anxiety" untill they pulled it up from the back of the lot and all the salesmen crowded around it to check it out. I thought "now THATS what Im talking about." I guess it was meant to be...=) The way that I look at it is that I got to drive around a brand new truck for the weekend for free, they even filled the tank up for me when I supposedly bought it on friday. All in all, Im glad to get my Z back and I have decided that as much of a pain in the a$$ these cars are sometimes, ultimately it is well worth it. Hell, I didnt even have any chicks checking me out when I was rollin the Yukon (probably because there are a bazillion of them on the road) but in the Z I get stares galore!! My favorite stare, and no Im not gay, is actually when 2 guys are on the freeway next to me and the one who spots the Z nudges the other one....they ineveitably give a thumbs up, head nod, or "nice car."

Brian (is happy he has his baby back and didnt know what the **** he was thinking in the first place)
