Default Need day laborers in a pinch

I am going to be moving into my house this friday!! I only have one obstacle...I have my place mostly packed, have a truck at uhaul reserved for me, but now I need a couple laborers. I know that there are often times guys hanging around uhaul looking for work, but supposing there arent, where do I get them then?? BTW, I am getting the truck from the uhaul in Tustin....does anybody know any place where guys hang out looking for work around the tustin area??? Any help would be appreciated.

Brian (needs a plan "B" just in case)

Home depot.

Pick the guys standing off by themselves. Never pick the guys in the group.

Cheers, Ted

My officemate got some laborers from home depot when they move and the guys were not careful enough on lifting stuff. I guess some of them are good on demolition but not lifting furnitures. There should be a lot of laborers standing around at the U-haul place.

Don't know if I would use the guys that hang out at Home Depot. Heard of scams where they fake injuries and sue for workers compensation against your home owners policy. Some cities have authorized day worker centers. I think I would use someone that is bonded and insured. Ken
