Hi All,
Is anyone going to the Nisei Week show in Little Tokyo on August 13th? We will be there with our 350Z Single Turbo Roadster and G35 Twin Turbo if anyone is planning on going.

Yeah, well I'm not too sure if our cars are bling enough to take home a trophy. It'd be nice, but either way we're just doing it to have the cars there.
I went last year and I'll probably go again this year. If you're showing, I'd bring a canopy as it gets pretty blazing hot standing around all day not to mention the UV damage on the paint and interiors.
It's pretty fun. Last year, I checked out the show then I drank a couple of beers on the street (it's a street fair atmosphere) and watched a parade and a concert. Maybe this year, I'll take a shot at dunking a bikini-clad sorrority girl at the dunk tank.
The atmosphere brings me back to the old days when my friends and I cruised in our severely lowered Corollas (AE86) with headers and straight pipes. Back then we had no idea that those little hatchbacks would become over-priced cult cars. Hordes of people used to line the streets for those infamous cruise sessions. Ahh, the good old days...

As for the AE86, I have a good friend and his mom used to own one. He wanted to yell at her when he found out she used to own a GTS. That's a car I would still love to own. Right now I'm torn between lightweight FR cars though. Either an AE86 or a Miata, hmmm.....lol

I love those old cars as well-makes me feel like a naive high school kid (again). I guess Initial D sparked the craze.
Man, I miss my AE86 and would love to own another one but for the time being, my pennies are being saved for the APS TT kit. I'll make sure to make a stop at the Brainstorm booth since I missed the barbecue.

Well, Ben took Best of show with his widebody 350z. It was a really great show. Lots of nice cars. If you guys have pics post them.
