Here's a quick clip of what my Injen exhaust sounds like with resonated test-pipes and a H-pipe added. If I had the chance to do it all over again I would personally save up for the HKS exhaust which looks very similar to the Injen. But since the HKS is nearly twice the $$$, I'm pretty happy with the Injen.

only fits if the G35 one uses adapters.

The injen exhaust is certainly louder than stock but after three months I’m getting accustomed to the volume. Of course, “sound” is a judgment call. The other night a friend drove the Z so that I could hear it from the OUTSIDE, and the volume is far from absurd. I suggest that you attend a Z-Meet and look and listen before buying. Like all exhausts, it has a few quarks:

I can drive around the neighborhood at 1,500 rpm and the exhaust is inaudible.

Cruising in sixth gear at 60 mph: the exhaust is louder than cruising at 70 mph.

Dual exhaust has an interesting resonance at particular rpm ranges.

I can't tell you about horsepower gains, but I’m pleased with my ET.
