Default God saved me

So I hung with a couple of friends and my lady, and I was taking my lady back to LA when I get on the 91 and my car starts wobbling. I automatically assume flat tire...oh but was I wrong!!! I start to pull over when all of a sudden my front driver side wheel flies out in front of me and my car slams on the ground. Luckily I was already on the outer lane and only going about 45mph. Anyways my car got pretty trashed, and to my luck neither myself or my girlfriend, and thank God no one else was injured. I also was lucky enough not to have someone hit me or vice versa. The CHP officer was really nice too, he kept complimenting me on my car all though it was trashed. He kept sitting in it and asking all these questions. Another good thing was the tow truck driver himself was a car enthusiast and felt bad for me so he didn't charge me alot for what he did. I was shocked when he told me the price... But now my car needs to undergo some major work. New bumper, new fender, fully rebuild the suspension and doors. BBK might be coming in sooner than expected, MIGHT!!! We'll see what happens...BTW it was pretty intense...but my baby will be better than ever when she's finished.

Wow, glad to see you and your girl are OK. I had the same thing happen to me once, except I was going 75mph I had a 2000 Jetta 2.slow with a set of 18" Niche Shok's. Thing was that I just had the car lowered with H&R springs a few days back, the shítheads forgot to torque the front left wheel

sometimes when the lugs are over-torqued, they can cause the studs to snap.... hence the wheel to fly off.

Glad everyone is ok.

one time, I forgot to tighten the lugnuts and, all it takes is one time of watching your tire rolling down the street on its own before you ALWAYS check the luguts before you take a car out on the street.

Thanks guys for all the concern...but yeh...I think I over torqued the lug nuts. It was wild cause I was bumping my music going about 70mph on the 91 when my girlfriend turned the radio off to talk to me. Right when she did that she was like what's that sound? And I was like "oh crap" my tire. So i slowing down and moving to the right lane when all of a sudden at about 45 mph I slam on the ground and see my tire fly out in front of me. Damage is pretty bad. I slid on my control arm, my rotor hit the ground, my front bumper is demolished, side skirt is banged up, fender is demolished and left door is a little dinged. All it takes is one second for months of hardwork to come to an end. I hate the laws of entropy...

We're not twins anymore thats for sure...my bumper looks like something from hell. And when they were towing it just fell apart.

Thank you...now you and I both know to check the lugs before driving.

Sorry to hear if it. Will the insurance take care of it. When the Twisted ZII spun out in the big rains earlier this year (Totaling half the rear end, rear passenger quarter panal and front end) it took a 4-6 weeks to get it back but when it came back from P J Bonafacios (King of the Tuners)It was as good as new and I Won the 2005 MotorSports "Best of Show"

Take it to PJ he'll make sure the insurance company will treat you right.....
