Lightbulb Sept 29th, Flying to LAX to pick up my Z :)

Hey yal socal's, im flying down to LA to pick up my car from the Fast N Furious 3 movie screening. They have supposedly used some of the cars from the ZcarGarage that we brought down.

Anyhow, I would like to know if there is anything to see or do down in LA for about 2-3 hours before i drive back to San Jose. Since i will have my car with me it would be a great opportunity to check something out that is not too far from LAX. Can you provide some recommendations on sites, photoshoot areas, shops or anything cool that i can do for around 2-3hrs. I land around 12pm and should have my car back around 1 or 2. I want to leave around 4 or 5 to come back to SJ, I have a Halloween party around 10pm. Please feel free to suggest any local happenings.

Nudie, don't know, I'll have the lil lady with me. She might be up for it, but i might not be making the Halloween party.

A worth opponent indeed, from your times ive seen. Im always up for a pull or too on the freeway somewhere. I wouldnt mind meeting some of you guys down there. Some of yal sound like good peeps.

Any other suggestions?

Brainstorm is about 5 miles north of LAX. You can also rent exotic cars near there and hit the canyons.

Chinese Theatre/Kodak Center on Hollywood Blvd is a hot spot for tourists.

manhattan beach and hermosa beach are only a couple miles to 5 miles south of LAX. Theres a lot of bars and restaurants there if you want to do that kind of stuff. LAX is also near the beach. If you watch Pimp My Ride, the road between LAX and the water is the one they always drive down when you see them near a chain link fence and water. Palos Verdes is also pretty nice which is a bit farther, and I'm not sure you could drive down there, take pictures, and head back north in 1-2 hours. It'll take you about 30-45 min to drive from LAX to PV. If you take PCH south from LAX, then down Palos Verdes Drive you'll follow the coast, and theres some parking lots near the cliff you could take pictures at. Although, if you're gonna be driving north to the Bay Area, you might just want to go north to Malibu by taking PCH north.

You can always check out the Ghetty Museum off the 405 since you will be driving up that way to go back to SJ anyhow.

Jeez 2-3 hours is a little bit tight, time-wise.

I'd just look up a nice restaurant on citysearch, and chill there for a while with the lady.

Well, there is ONE thing that's fun, and close to the airport.

If you go east on century blvd (the street LAX is on) you will see Hollywood Park on your left hand side once you get to Inglewood. You can play Texas Hold'em there (don't worry, there's lots of fish ) for a couple hours if you're into poker.
