Default Stereo shops that know our cars, seriously?

I would like to get a decent Sirrius and mp3 capable radio installed.

I am not a car stereo lover so I don't want subs, amps, etc. Just the head unit and hopefully use my existing speakers.

I have that BOSE setup so I don't know if that's possible. But it's been near impossible to find a shop that knows what they are doing.

They usually just start pulling panels apart haphazzardly!

Maybe this is too far away from you but Street Noyz in San Diego did my Z and everything is first rate. Call Paul there, the owner. He knows his stuff and has done Z's. He built a sub enclosure on mine that looks great. They do a lot of high end installs thus the standards of their work is top notch. Do a search if you want to see it.

Thanks. Will add them to the list. hopefully I can find someone closer. You'd think in Los Angeles they'd be at least ONE.

Street Sounds Plus in North Hills, CA did an AWESOME job. The install looks very CLEAN.

I walked in and said, "I want to play mp3s and listen to Howard Stern on Sirrius, when he's on finally. I don't want an LCD or fancy sound system though and I want it to look as stock as possible".

He point me to the Kenwood EZ700. The thing has these gnarly retro twin ***** that totally match up with the Zs hvac controls! It's perfect!. Perfect color of grays too. The ***** have a great feel too.

The sound, using the stock Bose amp and speakers, is AWESOME. I couldn't believe how much better the Bose system sounds with a proper preamp driving them!

Another nice bonus is they hard wired my radar detector.

Very happy and definitely suggest them.

Also, Mickey, your car looks INSANE! He showed me the pics!

P.S. Weight reduction fanatics...that Bose head unit is HEAVY. I must have dropped 15lbs off the front of the car!
