Any experiences with Garden Grove Nissan?
Does anyone have any positive experiences with Garden Grove Nissan Service department? I brought in my '05 Z at 25K with the axle clicking on the left and all they did was grease and tighten. A week later, the right axle clicked and they greased and tighten. At 33K, the drivers side is clicking again. And I'm at 38K now. The driver's side clicks and my tranny is starting to show signs of leakage as well as grinding when shifting to 5th gear on a cold morning. I'm not too satisfied with their quick fix service. I don't like the idea of driving back and forth to get this fixed.
Does anyone have any recommendations on a quality dealership in Orange County?
Thanks.

come back and tell them there is an issue with the clicking noise. They will need to replace part for it. Do a search on "clicking rear noise" and get the bulletin # for it.
I'd steer clear of their (GG's) sales and service department.
Collectively speaking, they're not quite as bad/dishonest as Cerritos Nissan and Universal Nissan but they're not too far behind.
Approximately two months ago, my co-worker was interested in purchasing a Track Edition at Cerritos Nissan and to make a long story short, they told him that he would never in a million years find a new Track Z33 for under 40K (before taxes/delivery fees). The salesperson kept claiming that the car was "custom-built" by Nismo. My friend said he kept saying lame stuff like, "Do you know what Nismo is?" Anyway, it didn't take long for my co-worker to figure them out so he decided to bolt. Apparently they were even laughing at him when he walked out on them.
About two days earlier, Universal quoted him 43K for a Track with floormats (only option). They even had the audacity to tell him that it was the special "Nissan Racing" limited edition and that it was putting out close to 360 horsepower (Can you say horsecrap?). My friend is pretty mellow but he said he couldn't help but laugh in the salesperson's face as he said adios.
The pricing is a bit more reasonable at Garden Grove but apparently they're riding the schmuck-mobile (without a saddle) as well.
What's the moral of this story:
Steer clear of all those DORKS and stick with Performance Nissan if you can...
P.S.
I love my Z33 as I feel it's a wonderful sports car for the price but what's with these uneducated salesdorks coming across as if they're selling some type of $300,000 Italian exotic? When are they going to get a clue? The car Gods are frowning hard!

Garden Grove Nissan are F**KERS!!!

Those bastards!!! Dropped my car off because of the following:
1. Rear Axle clicking
2. Fluid leak at the engine block by the upper radiator hose
3. Tranny leak
I acted dumb asking the service attendant is the clicking a common problem. He said no, he never heard of it. Then he looks up my record that I brought it there previously TWICE and got it fixed. Then he tells me he's heard it happen a few times. I then asked him about the leaks also if it's common. He tells me it maybe seepage!!! Seepage and leakage is the dammn same thing. Then he makes me sign a pre-estimate to cover a $94 diagnostic fee just in case it's not covered under the power train warranty. I'm thinking cool, how can it not be.
He calls me the next day at work and tells me that the service tech says the clicking is because I need my rear brakes changed, 20% left and that's causing the problem. Then he states the mechanic wiped the motor clean and there wasn't a leak. The mechanic also tighten the drain plug and wiped silicon on it. It wasn't leaking. How can there be fluid everywhere and not be a leak? Someone tell me. I can see residues of the fluid on my exhaust piping. I just had enough at that point. I told him "don't touch my car. How can the brakes cause the axles to click? Brakes will squeel but do not click. Your not even acknowledging that there's a service bulletin to fix the axle. I will take my car elsewhere." He was a little stunned with his momentary pause when I told him no touchy touchy. The dude had the nerve to tell me I will have to pay the diagnostic fee of $94 if I don't have the work done. His little threat to charge didn't phase me. GG Nissan has no morals or ethical standards. I assume they're on a commisioned base salary. There are ways to make money, but lying is not acceptable. Bastards!!!
I'm probably gonna have to pay the $94 just to get my car out. But I'm gonna raise hell after I show him the bulletin!!! It's not about the money, it's about the principle.
I'll continue my story tomorrow with the results.
Comments are welcome.

Well, I got raped by them this morning like I envisioned. At least I met the service dude at the counter that helped me the first two times for the axle clicking. They made me pay the $94 to get my car back. When he gave me the keys to the car, he asked me to reproduce the problem, which I did. Even he admitted its a low chance the brakes would be causing the problem. Also he acknowledged the bulletin for the axle clicking. HAHA!!! Then he stood there scratching his head. I told him I lost faith in the service department and all I want is my money back so I can take it elsewhere. Brakes do not click. He told me give him some time to see what he can do and talk to the tech. Like another board member said, "this is getting rediculous."
Another thing, they torqed the drain plug but I wonder if they even topped off the tranny fluid. My fifth gear was grinding all morning. Bastards I tell you. Stay away from GG Nissan.

you might want to print out the service bulletin and give to the manager of the GG Nissan... or print out some of the thread in here regarding the issue. Let them know that they need to TRAIN their tech again. Better yet, call Nissan hotline to complain.
I bought my '05 SB at Garden Grove Nissan.... From my experience, don't go there. Wouldn't have bought it there if I didn't go through a car broker. Had no choice. Go to Performance Nissan in Duarte.
Don't know the name of the finance guy but he was a total a-hole. Typical 'act nice until I decline everything he tries to sell me' kinda guy. I POLITELY declined all the extra warranties, bull*****, etc. Then he gives me this BIG time attitude. The sales rep was a total thumbs down also. And this is talking about the Fleet Managers, not the floor reps. =( Had to pull a car from another dealership (dealer trade) and I had to wait 3 hours for my car. Guy comes back and doesn't apologize about the wait, nothing. Doesn't even offer me a $0.25 cup of coffe from the ****ing vending machine right next to us....

What's the hotline number?
800-NISSAN-1
That correct? I want my $94 incorrectly diagnosed fee back.
I'm bitter. I bought a Nissan thinking there wouldn't be any problems with the car. But this Z is not unreliable...it's just plain annoying to have to have these minor issues with the car. And to go through the service department guarded watching my shoulder...hahah...comes with just a little stress. Every service department seems to be hostile territory.

Garden Grove Nissan is a piece of absolute crap and they are bordering on fraudulence. I had the same experience as did time4aspliff's friend. And this was in 2003 when the car first came out. THey tried to act like I was buying an Enzo Ferrari. They tried to charge me 2000K for a clear bra that was NOT on the car, 5K for Aftermarket rims that were NOT on the car, and a 5K markup just cuz they felt like marking it up another 5K. The manager in charge that night came out and told me that the Z was timeless unlike other cars and that it was like buying EBAY stock and the car would appreciate in value. What a moron. I quickly left after that and bought my car that same weekend below sticker.
