I am an avid Trojan fan. I have to say that SC defense could not contain Vince Young. That's the key. Yes there were some shaky calls, but it's SC defense.......

How about the touchdown where Youngs knee was down? More importantly when Texas came back from being down 12 to only 5, there was a catch and fumble that they even reviewed and still screwed USC calling it incomplete. That would have sealed the game. I CALL FOUL!
ball has to be in hands for 2 seconds........it wasn't two seconds so the play is incomplete

+1 !! When replayed at full speed it was definitely incomplete. The announcers, probably all USC fans, kept showing it reeeealllly sllloooowww to try and make people think that it was a wrong call.

+2. Good call by the ref's on that one.

Also, the pitch play that everyone should really focus on was the misfortunate one by Bush. That play clearly helped Texas at USC's expense.

Since when is the rule ball has to be in hand for 2 seconds? I played wide receiver and that certainly was never in the rule books. Its about having the ball in possession with feet on the ground. He had possession, was standing straight up, then got hit and got it ripped out.

Regardless, USC made bonehead plays, like Reggies lateral, going for it up 7-0 on 4th and 1, instead of kicking the field goal and taking 3 points. The offensive coaching decisions weren't so great. Also I think SC should have blitzed more. They didn't stack the box on Young like Texas did. With that being said, Texas played a great game, mostly one guy, and won.

In my opinion, USC is still the better team, actually should have won the game minus their arrogant play calling and bonehead plays. And at the end, White had been racking up almost 7 yards a carry. Handing it off to him on 4th and 2 to seal the game was probably a good call. For once, the defense actually stopped him. Kudos to them. Although, any pro team would have made Young earn those 80-100 yards instead of just 50.

Whatever, great game! Looking forward to seeing those guys in the pros. Young needs to take a lesson from Leinart and GO PRO NOW, so should White!

I say stay in college so I can watch them play another year. I lose interest in them, as well as football as a whole, when players get paid way to much for doing way to little in the NFL.

Texas WON the game and USC played like crap so there is no way that you can say they should have won. Young's knee was definately down, but he was going to score anyway. They could not stop Texas.

As far as the catch/fumble he did not catch it and fumble it there is no way you can call that a catch when he had hardly put his feet down.

SC lost because they felt like they were far superioir and obviously were not. It is really bad when at the end of a game that you lost you say you are still a better team.

There is no way Young is coming out, I disagree but his quote was that "God put him here to be the quarterback of this team." Meaning Texas. I think he would stay forever if he could. I would tell him to take the damn money and run.

Anyways, it was a great game and I am very happy with the outcome!!!!!

I'm not saying theres a rule book. I meant to say at for at least one or two sec. He touched it and dropped it.(Incomplete) If you have the vid, look at it when its not in slomo and you'll see.

It sure as hell wasn't a fumble because he never had possession or control of the ball.

Regardless, it was one of the best games I've seen.

I was a receiver. It was a catch.

Regarding it all, actually I don't care. I'm from Phoenix, went to ASU, had no money on the game. So it doesn't really matter. I thought it was a phenomenal game, as with almost all of the bowl games. Really a great year in college football. I also agree with the other comment about the pros. I'm enjoying college football much more. However, from a financial position, Young's ticket is never going to be hotter than now. What did he have? 460 yards? He should be smart and go pro.
