Default How much are speeding tickets?

I got a ticket going 60 on 35 on Loynes, that street right after Marina Pacific on PCH. It's complete BS cuz I saw the speed limit sign like 100ft before where the cop was hiding. I have no idea what city that would be and its an Long Beach district ticket. I have never gotten one before, so can someone give me a ballpark of how much I would be paying?

It's been a while since I've gotten a speeding ticket (knock on wood) but judging from what I have seen I'm thinking somewhere 150-300....

Isn't 25 mph over the limit something extra? I thought the number was 20 mph over and over was double the fine?

Torrance -> in my altima -> 60 in a 35 = 300$ plus 25$ cheap traffic school (nov 2002)
19 months later (whew ... passed the 18 month limit)
Torrance -> in my Z -> 55 in a 40 = 153$ plus 19.95 online traffic school

actually it depends. when i was in traffic school everyone was asked to tell how much they paid and what their violation was. most speeding tickets ranged from 180-400. the 400 dollar one was in combination of reckless driving i think too. and plus my friend and i got a speeding ticket at the same time, i was going 82 in a 65 and he was going 78 in a 65. but my ticket was about 70 dollars cheaper than his. dont know why

im good with 400 and below. 500 is just insane. plus its only written up as speeding, no wreckless driving.

Go to court to plead guilty to the judge and he will probably drop the fine.

my ex-gf, was doing 110 on the way to vegas
110 in a 75, she got wreckless driving
2 weeks later, she got a ticket in the mail for a 500$ fine.
thinking she was tres cool, she decided to go to the judge & plead guilty/ignorance and try her "charm"...
the judge slapped the fine, and in addition !!! , suspended her license for 1 month....

i'm pretty wary about going to judges after this true life incident unless i have no other choice..

volcom.. u should be ok, based on ur specs, & taking long beach into account, ur fine should be roughly 300$. go to safe2drive.com (first make sure they accept it at the court that sends u the ticket) and do the online course... took me about 1.5 hours total. i can send u pdf's of the course which will make it even shorter, msg me.

im confused here.

guilty= bad
guilty=good
guilty= a must for traffic school

which is the right thing to do if i want traffic school. cuz i definately don't want it on my record.

if you dont want it on your record either plead NOT GUILTY or take traffic school. i would rather take traffic school and avoid any headaches of going through trial (and also a risk of not winning the trial which means it will go on record if you are found guilty) pleading guilty is well... pleading guilty. thats the worst option.

guilty=very bad
not guilty=slim chance of winning (and i stress SLIM)
traffic school=no point on your record and it just requires 8 hours of your saturday to clear.
