Exclamation Got pulled over in Huntington Beach today!

There were 2 cops and they both knew their ****! One said, "Wow, you really got a lot of stuff done to this thing. Lexan Window, gutted, no air bags...why don't you pop your hood!" He took a look at the engine and pointed out the ARC intake and stated that it was not carb legal. He asked me, "Does the intake have a carb sticker or number? What is this blue thing on your fuel line?"

Luckily one of the cops was a car enthusiast that used to have a Vette in AZ that was pushing 700hp. They had me get back in the car and had me sweatng for a while since they were taking their sweet time. The officer comes back and tells me that he was going to let me off easy and just cited me with having no proof of insurance (I had the old one! ) and that I could get it written off in Westminster with the updated insurance card and gave me a warning for no front plate.

Today was a lucky day and I strongly feel that they would have nailed me for the intake if it wasn't for my expired insrance card. I guess they just did not want to let me go Scott free

Dude, ur 1 lucky dogg. Your ride isn't street legal by 1st glance. Glad they let u off da hook. I didn't have such luck with Baldwin CHP, they got me like 7 different vilolations on a single ticket that I had to take my car to a different agency to have it signed off.

I've always heard stories of HB police being ******. You're lucky you got pulled over by cops that like cars as much as we do. So were they posing and taking pictures?

The two times that I have been pulled over they have been really cool. !st time they let me go after I spoke to him about a taco joint in Anaheim.

This second time, I spoke to him about cars and asked if he needed a home loan

If they would of caught you for the non carb legal thing would they have given you a ticket or citation or would they have towed your car away? Im just wondering. I just got a Greddy kit and is not carb legal and was wonderign what the outcome would be in a scenario liek this?

I was expecting another smog referee ticket. I fought my last one and won. They typically will not tow your car away

all of the beach cities...huntington, hermosa, redondo are all real sticklers when it comes to performance vehicles...i cant count how many exhaust tickets i used to get in my civic whenever i went to any of these cities. congragulations on getting out of the ticket. some of the cops are cool as long as you're not an a_SS to them.
