Recommended Wheel Polishing Shop...?
I'm just wondering whether anyone can recommend a good shop where I can have my wheels repolished. I bought a set of used 19" Volk SF Challenges in gunmetal a few months ago, and they're not in as good as shape as they can be. They look pretty dull and they also have deposits deep under the spokes. I did do a search in the So. Cal. forum but found what either looked like irrelevant or outdated information. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you polished a Volk wheel you will no longer have the clear anodized sealant on there and will now always have to polish the wheels to make them look good, sense now the bare alumnium is exposed, also if you let water sit on them for a while it stains the aluminum. just an FYI

i am getting mine polished out too from Gary.
yes gary can put a clear coat on there but it will cost you $$$$$$$
just get it polish and buy some Wax for rims. Mother makes a good one.
as long as you have a coat on there every month or so. you shouldnt have any problems like that.
I Like it withouut the clear coat. cause you wax your rims you get more shine out of it~

Hey Panza, I did a writeup on polishing my GT-7's. I was in the same situation as you where the clearcoat was already jacked. After polishing them, I am happy with the results. Basically have to clean the rims every week and wax once a month or 3 weeks (depends on how far you drive) and they are nice, clean and shiney. Not more maintenance than wheels with clearcoat IMO.

Mag Masters does good work and the dude is pretty cool. It's good to know he's still in business.
I remember back in the day, (mid to late 80's) we were getting our Hayashi Racing (before HRE) 503's and SSR EXC's polished over there. We were running 15's because back in those days, 16's were like 19's are today.
This was way before the drift craze and me and my buddies were cruising lowered Corolla GT-S's (AE-86) with headers and open exhausts. And we were young naive punks.
Those were the days...

Just got back from Mag Masters. Wow, what a frickin difference! They came out practically new. It was definitely worth the trip down there. The people were cool. Gary wasn't there but I dealt with this guy named Bob and a woman (I think she's the owner) named Liz. Anyhow, they did an excellent job. I dropped the car off in the morning and got it back just about an hour ago. I highly recommend them...

I'll try and post up a couple of before and after pics tomorrow. I left my camera at home and besides it's getting kind of dark outside. (The 'fire clouds' aren't helping) I don't know how much of a difference you'll be able to notice in a picture but when you see it for yourself there's a world of difference.
