Default Status Auto Design highly recommended

As some of you chaps and post ****** know I've been looking for new wheels. I recentely got myself the Axis Hiro Silver 19 staggered wheels and needed tires for my new wheels. I contacted Rick at Status and he gave me a insane deal on some Toyo Proxis T1R Tires. I did not have any wheels on my car since I sold my wheels and my car was on four jackstands. I went to Status with the wheels on the bed of my brothers F-150 only to find out I left my TPS's at home and needed to install them on my new wheels. I could not do anything but return home to get them and the shop is about 35 mins away from home. I had no choice to do that as I was getting ready to leave Rick offered me to borrow some stock wheels so I can then drive my Z back rather than just return with the TPS only. I was shocked that a shop would go that far for me to have my tires and wheels properly installed. If this is the type of customer service status auto design offers then this will be my ONLY source for wheels and tires. I could not believe how well I was treated and the top notch service they have. I was pleased and satisfied with the experience I had today. I highly recommend this shop for anyone in SoCal at least to pay them a visit and meet these guys.....one word simply describes my experience today .....Awesome and here is the shop info if any one wants it

Now here are the pics of the install ( some came out dark ) and the stock wheels I was allowed to borrow

The nismo wheels I wanted were put on a wait as the person who was gonna sell me his has the car stuck at a shop installing a turbo. The shop has taken way too long on the install and I needed wheels and tires bad. I decided to get the wheels I wanted before I thought of the nismo's so hence the Axis wheels. I like the way they turned out and the Toyo's are super quiet compared to the stock Sh!tenza's.....

Damn that sure looks nice. I guess it's an early Valentine's gift for your car. LOL. Well the person who was going to purchase my wheels and tires might be backing out so I may not get my Hiros just yet.

no. Just that their price higher than other place that i've done business with. I called 3 times and all 3 times, the price is higher. I know they do price match but i expect i got the lowest quote when i call. Don't like to ask for it.

I'm sure many other members here happy with Status. I gave them a chance but thing didn't work out. hehehe...so i'm back to where i go with and it was the 4th set i bought.

one thing I noticed is how quiet these tires are compared to the sh!tenza's I had. I hope the tires last a while and don't get loud.

Dude, I'm with you... don't like the haggling game, give me the best price from the get-go and you have a sale. Where is your preferred place?

Lowest price sometimes has it's faults and does not mean better....lost shipment, damaged good, lousy customer service and no tech support also unless you have actually dealt with Status you have no say to how the prices are.

Been doing business with Chris @F1 Motorsports. Bought 4 set of wheels from them and refer many other members here with them. I heard so many good thing about Status and decide to give them a chance (3 times) but they didn't impressed me at all. For the fairness, i called the first time and talk to someone there and he said he will ask Rich to contact me at the forum about pricing (since they have special price or something) but nothing from them. I called back 2 other times to inquire about GT-C and there price were about $300 different. Not to mention, plus shipping cost.

Rich used to work for F1 so his business module pretty much the same as Chris; therefore, it's all the same in term of service, shipping, support. Out of the 4 set i ordered with F1, 2 came DHL next day and 2 come DHL 2nd days delivered (shipping cost INCLUDED).

Anyway, don't get to the "who's better". My reply here just simply for Ed about i didn't get the same experience as him. I'll will continue my ordering and referring to F1 in the future.

I've never dealt with F1 and I think some of the Status guys were from F1....I dunno I'd rather pay a little for someone to baby my car like these guys do than have some bozo treat it like any other car. I think we would all agree on that one since we all love this car equally......Come to think of it we are some hardcore enthus when it comes to our Z's.
