Pretty much in dowtown SB there is State Street and then the beach at the end of State Street. The street is kind of like Old Town Pasadena but only smaller. It has a lot of boutiques and has a mall.

At night, there are some bars/clubs. Forgot the names. Haven't been back since I was a Gaucho (UCSB) in 2001.

On State St, there's a place called the Cajun Cafe that has great breakfast. Great place to walk around. There's also a nice drive to Solvang that's maybe 40 mins NE from Santa Barbara. Little dutch town, if you've never been, its pretty neat to see and hang out. Last time I went, I got stuck in the middle of a Vette cruise/caravan... pretty cool. Gratz on the Anniversary.

Definitely hit up Solvang! The town right next it is called Buelton (sp?) and that is where the Hitching Post II restaurant is, from the movie SIDEWAYS, excellent food and ofcourse wine! If you haven't seen SIDEWAYS, watch it with your girl first and then surprise her by taking her to that restaurant! It gets packed, especially weekends, so RSVP if you can! Enjoy
