Contact Star Shield Armor in Irwindale. They supply their kits to manufacturers like Lexus and Lotus, and their kit for the Z is excellent. I've had their kits on almost a dozen cars over the past several years, and I've been very satisfiend. I believe that they still do installations at their factory.

Just called them, $524.00! Ouch, seems kinda steep for the kit. I thought they were about $300.00?

Problem with that is warranty. If a shop installs and provides the kit, they can warranty the kit and the labor.

What portions are you looking to get done? I know for my sister's G35C, just the front bumper was done and it was either $300 or $350. It also included a lifetime warranty I believe (or maybe it was 7 years?). I think the material used with VentureShield or Venture Tape. Anyways, the guy that did it was located around Placentia, CA.

I'm going to be getting my front bumper covered in about a month after the paint on my front bumper cures. I'll be getting my front bumper and ings lip done. If you're interested, I can verify all that info tonight once I get home (price, material, warranty, etc.)

Actually, if anybody else is interested, maybe I can ask him to setup a GB?

Envisage in Torrance, they've done a few My350Z forum members. They charged $250 - $275 for the 3M film when I did my stock bumper.

Getting mine installed today on the new bumper.

What kind of warranty do they offer? I'm sure the quality of thier work is excellent since everybody suggests them, but I'm just worried about yellowing. From what I read, although 3M is reputable company, it starts starts to yellow over the years. However, I read this about a year ago and I'm not sure if that still applies now.

They're using the new version of the 3m film released last year, it's supposed to be resistant to yellowing as experienced in the previous versions.
I believe the warranty is 5 years, will re-confirm when I see them later today.

Cool, yeah I thought I read about the yellowing on the 3M, just wanted to make sure. If their new film resists yellowing, then maybe I'll just go to them. Either way, let's try to get a GB

Don't worry, I got it all figured out! I have 2 OEM front bumpers, so the new one that just got painted (with the ings lip attached) is going to sit at my home and cure for about a month. I'll drive around with the "old" front bumper and not have to worry about rock chips, etc. Sure, it'll look funny to have to rest of the kit without the front lip, but at least my paint should be good! Once a month passes by, I'll take my bumper in my van and get the clear bra put on, then come home and swap bumpers and finally sit back and enjoy!

They normally have different levels of protection available for different prices. Some include the rear view mirrors, leading edge of the roof, A-pillars, door edges, rear bumper cover near trunk/hatch opening, etc. Basic kits that cover the hood and front bumper cover only should be correspondingly less.

Also, kits from some companies require more labor to install correctly, but offer better protection and longevity with fewer seams, gaps or splits. Installation is key with this material because it can strech and distort if not handled properly.

With so many options, it can be difficult to make an apples-to-apples comparison.

Okay, so who will be interested in this? I'll start a list and call around to see where we can get a good deal. Add yourself onto the list, and include if you have a lip/aftermarket bumper, or a different car:

1. BhashaZ - 350Z w/ ings lip
2.
3.
4.
5.
