Commonly called "TalkAbout" radios, from Motorola and other vendors. They are small, short range (1 mile) handheld radios that are essential for drives like this!
I highly recommend everyone try to pick one (or two!) up. I recently picked up an Audiovox FRS radio at Walmart for 10$ and it works just fine...
Motorolas run up to 50 or even 100 dollars.

Hello everyone... thanks for your patience on the drive info =)
Anyway... after doing the practice run today... we've decided that for our Mega Meet... we will do a nice somewhat short (hour or so) drive through Ortega Hwy and back...
We were originally going to do Elsinor and Temecula as well... but I think with the number of cars we have and the limited # drivers familiar with the roads... it would be almost a guarantee that people will get lost.
So this is the plan.
Meet Location: Ball Park Pizza
31654 Rancho Viejo Rd # H, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
*it has a nice size parking lot...
Time: 10:00am meet time... and 10:30 departure time
*I know it was originally earlier... but I think @ this hour it will give more people the opportunity to join us
We will be driving into Ortega Hwy... then there will be a stop point in Elsinor... for snacks.
Then we will go back and do Ortega Hwy the opposite way.
We can then have lunch somewhere in San Juan Capistrano... or just go straight to HPZ's... via the 5 freeway south.
I think with this plan... we should be able to relax and just enjoy a nice drive with our fellow Z'ers..
Sorry for the long post...

I'll be there this time; fortunately.
Nothing's left on my Z that can still go wrong short of a full-on engine failure.
And that's not happening, cos the L28E's a copy of a Mercedes engine. And Mercedes' engine blocks don't just alltogether fail. Thank god.
Also, my camera buddy/350Z enthusiast should be w/me this time (Zedekiah, if you know him) so I'll be able to get better shots of your Z's in motion than if it was just me doing the shooting. (it's freaking hard to do ANYTHING and shift at the same time)
One last thing, if anyone knows a place that hosts like 100 mb for free I'd like to know it so I can post my Z videos up here.
Peace
