ok i got my varis air duct yesterday and had a few thoughts. my nismo style bumper is fiberglass. it also had a ****load of paint chips. i was thinking about cutting it and installing my air duct....then having it repainted and clearbra'ed. paint and remolding a crack thats under the bumper will be 300 bux. then custom clearbra (because its not oem bumper and its got a air duct) will be probably around 300? so im looking at 600. on the other hand i was thinking about selling the nismo bumper and getting a lip on my urethane oem bumper. and installing the air duct there. cost will be slightly less but i'll make some money back on the bumper. any thoughts?
oh and how hard is it to cut the fiber glass bumper for those of you with aftermarket bumpers and varis air duct.

sup man...did u mean that you were gonna paint the air duct also? after seeing your car on saturday i was thinking the CF hood would match the airduct well. but of course its up to you.
Yo Gimp that bumper has been touched more times than a $2 street walker!
Consider this; Does your OEM bumper require paint ($200-$300)? If you sell the nismo bumper the lip will most likely cost just as much as your sell if purchased used ($0 for lip). You will have to paint the lip ($100-$200). You can still clear bra the bumper and lip, but if you want the lip bra'd it will still be a custom job ($300)! I would suggest to bra the bumper before installing the lip as my Veilside V1 has no bra and is holding up well with no chips.
Your cost will be much less if your OEM bumper does not require paint. Good luck.
Shameless pic of my V1.

wow looks good. i think im going to go with a nismo lip. i'll figure something out with my nismo bumper (maybe use it for the track since its alreayd chipped everywhere). my oem bumper was on for less than a week lol so its in immaculate condition. i think im going to put on my air duct and get the lip painted and molded. then get it clear bra'ed. know where i can get it clear bra'ed?
