isn't it usually a $10 fix it? u fix it (i.e., attach ur front plate), bring to a cop to have the ticket signed off.

sux, eh. happened to me looooong time ago when i was driving on 101. same as u... no speeding, no unsafe lane change, etc. the cop passed me and then braked to pull behind me.... to give me a no-front license plate ticket.

if it says correctable.... put it on (like i told you before) and take it to dmv by your house. have them check it and sign it. mail it in with $10 (no cash), unless the processing fee changed.

you dont take it to the dmv to get it check off you have to take it to the police station and have a officer sign it off

The CHP offices will do it for free. Some other stations may actually charge you a fee to check the license plate (on top the of $10 or so fine). Also, make sure you securely fasten the plate to the car (zip ties will be fine if you don't want to drill holes). Good luck!!!

What is the deal with you all not having front plates? I'm in Virginia, a front plate state, and the car has a license plate area prepared for it on the grill. Looks fine to me. I don't get this reluctance to put on your front plate where required.

Because it's fugly...

And it really depends on luck.. Most cop just don't bother... Most of them just drive up to me, drive by me, smile, and be on their merry way..

Also, alot of dealers in CA do not drill holes in bumper or have a license plate area prepared for it on the grill.. My just asked me to sign a waiver that i understood there's a front license plate law, they did give me a license frame for the front, and that's it... I guess some dealers respect the aerodynamics of the Z to not ruin it haha

If there was a REAL reason why the state of Kalifornia really needs cars with front license plate I would be happy to slap it on. However, I get the impression that Kalifornia needs more laws on its book to increase revenues which I object to this law. I have a long list to ***** about, but at least you live in another state, so good for you.

the real reason is to give out more tickets (i.e., red light runners) using the photo cop.

and yes... like the others have said.... it's FUGLY!

I got Zee Bracket.... looks nice.
