The 710 FWY is WORLD REKNOWNED to have **** all over it. I swear, ive seen washers and dryers, couches, fridges, trash cans, lawn chairs, stoves, matteresses, etc i used to drive up that freeway everyday a few years ago and ive been lucky not to plow anything. The potholes are killer on that freeway too.

UPDATE: Driving on 57 sunday night, exit grand and stop at the light, turns green, I start going and BAM! car wont move. I get out, push it out of the intersection wearing flip flops over to the front of DB honda, and call AAA. Take it to Perf. Nissan the next day to find out that I cracked my driveshaft due to the debri i hit. The exhaust pushed up and cracked my driveshaft that gave way while i was driving it. What horrible luck, im soo pissed. Anyways, hope next time i can report good news...

Since moving to LA, we have almost run over a mattress and box spring in the car pool lane (had to bust a move to get out quick), 3 bags of gargage in the middle of the street (nowhere to go, therefore stopped, got slammed in the rear by 2 cars), and destroyed my front bumber needing to go over a ski rack in the car pool lane (also, nowhere to go but over it).

I think the one of the primary problems is the fact the people don't secure their cargo properly in the bed of a pick-up truck. Just yesterday, I was driving in the fast lane next to the carpool lane on the 91-E coming home from work. Well, I was driving along and as usual, I was checking out my left mirror to make sure there are no motorcycles wanting to pass (concerned for their safety), and no cars nearby just in case I need to make an emergeny lane change or something. The only car close to me in the carpool lane was a Prius, and he was about 4 car-lengths back. To my right was a guy in a beat-up pickup truck, with tons of scrap wood in the bed. I drive up to the pickup truck so that my front bumper is right next to the bed of his pickup. I'm looking forward and driving normally. All of a sudden, my peripheral vision catches a HUGE piece of wood coming loose from the pile, and eventually falls RIGHT inro my lane! I jerked the steering wheel quickly to get partially into the carpool lane and avoid the piece! Luckily it didn't hit me, but I was sure as hell pissed! I get up to the driver and wanted to yell out to him to let him know he is dropping crap everywhere. But when I pull up to him, I notice the a-hole is oblivous to anything, as he is chatting away on his cell-phone!

Plus what the heck is up with crap all over the freeways anyways? For the past 2 months or so, I've seen remains of tires (among other things) scatterred all over the freeway, specifically the 57/91, although I'm sure they're everywhere else too. I want to write a letter to CalTrans or something to clean that shiet up before someone gets hurt.

how about 2 flats in 2 weeks by debris on the 91. That freeway always has crews working, but i think they throw truck parts back on the freeway.

Cops are useless. When I had my Grand Prix GTX, the stupid road crews on 71 in Cleveland had not properly sandbagged down a construction sign. It was dark, and early in the morning. I didn't see it laying on its side in the middle of the road until I was right up on it doing 65+. Demolished the front plastic.

I went to the State HP close by and filed a report. Then the guy looks at me and says, what do you think you are going to do, get the state to pay for it? (which I had done before when they dumped a load of rocks on 71 but thats another story).

He looked at me and said, I will let you off without a ticket or any points. And then I quote, "It could be 2AM in the morning with a ninja in a black suit laying the middle of the road. If you hit him it's your fault.

My boy was driving me home in his car (2002 M3) and right as we went over a hill, on the other side was a dead squirrel... nothing happend to the car but the noise/fealing of squishing it made me feel funny in my stomach lol. And a while ago he was driving a 300c and didnt see a dead dear on the side of the road with its head sticking into the road and he ran over it and the skull cracked and like brains and **** were all on the side of his car... which was white btw. I guess he is unlucky when it comes to dead animals. The only thing I hit was one of those green plastic trashcans and luckily nothing happend to my car.

That sucks man i hope your insurence thing works out and they pay for it or at least help you pay for it.

Seriously, my car's in the body shop right now to fix some hit and run damage. I guess it's cause people think its a really expensive car so they would rather run, who knows.
