Anyone working on the set of pirates 3? Just wonderin, if you are let me know...I'll be one of many pirates on set.

 

i thought they already completed #3

 

ill have to find out but my stepdad is a grip, not sure if hes working on that movie.. dont think so cuz he would have told me cuz i love that movie.

 

Actually they finished 1/3 of the film late last year/beginning of this year.

They will be finished filming the rest, I believe in aug, sept, and oct. <--days i'm working on.

 

lol. Good luck. Alot of my coworkers (dreamworks) grew beards and shaved their heads (as per instructed) but at the end they weren't used. My friends work on the Disney Feature animation Lot (where theyre filming Pirates 3) and even they didn't get the parts (I saw the ship on the soundstage btw..pretty sweet).

 

How much do they film here? I watched a making of Pirates 2 and a huge portion of the film was shot in the Caribbean.

no, they filmed them both at the same time (the 2nd and 3rd one) and both are done filming. Just waiting for a release date.

I've talked to the second unit DP, the 3rd went on hiatus and will continue in about a month.

 

Yup. Took a small break to finish post production on Pirates 2. They've just started filming again.

 

Dont want to be rude, but how much does this line of work earn? I always wondered what an extra made on a big production.

Well, an extra on Herbie: Fully loaded was paid $11/hr about and that was a ?disney? movie. They have some extras that go around for several movies and they got about $17-20/hr when I talked to them but those girls were always traveling.

 

pirates of the caribbean :End of the World is coming out May 2007. i cant wait to see keith richards as captain sparrow's father
