I have the Borla T.D. cat back.. A little deeper note and really wakes up over 4k rpm... I am installing strup headers and some HFC's, so will see how that combo changes the sound/performance.... I did feel like the low end lost a little bit after the cat back, but it really did make up for it at higher rpm's.

I have the td also...and have the same power observation. But overall I absolutely love it.

I think I have some stuff on my home PC. I'll look when I get home from work.

My best advice though is to just meet up with some local Z's and hear it in person.

I have the True Dual Catback and have no complaint or regrets. From what I've read, their headers are one of the worst designed for our vehicle with the least HP gains (big waste of money I've heard). Combined with the JWT intake, the TD sounds like pure evil above 4500rpm, not ricey at all. Not a huge difference in power but I did notice that the reduced backpressure made downshifts smoother when not rev-matching. Here's a good link with soundclips of several catbacks for the Z.

here's my TD the day I installed it. Over time, it gets a little deeper.

Damn, that does sound good. Although the clip, I'm sure, does not do it justice in person, you can still get the idea. Doesn't sound raspy or ricey at all. Im convinced. Thanks guys.

I have the TD exhaust with some HF Crawfords. I love the sound esp. at around 3-4rpms, the low growl. Might be installing Megan test pipes for my track day soon and will see the difference in sound an performance.

I'm 30. I can meet up after work during the week but I dunno if I'd be willing to make the trek to Riverside. Maybe the TGIF off the 91 @ Weir Canyon would work?

The TD doesn't sound ricey at all...although a little bit of rasp for me, no big deal tho, and yea, above 4k, it sounds mean as a **** keke.

We would just cruise, so I wouldn't worry about the tires too much.
Get on it if you really gotta replace them.

Anyways, I used to be an active member on the newcelica.org boards and I would arrange The Block at Orange meets.

My 1st meet was a success. I only expected (actually wanted) no more than 10 celicas. Turn out was close to 20 celicas and a few other vehicles. I held these "small get-togethers" once every 4 months.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing with Z/G owners.
