Default AAA Hookups?!?

Well I'm looking at signing up for AAA's roadside assistance.
I just got my car back from the body shop, and my kit is REALLY low (I can't fit my fist vertically under the side skirts). I want to have the peace of mind of getting a flat bed tow truck to my car in the event of any misforture.

So does anyone have a hookup to get me a good deal? And if not, can anyone else benefit from me signing up, like as a referral or something?

Let me know.

k thx,
Vince.

I don't have any AAA connections but I recommend the Plus or Premier memberships. I think it's up to 200 miles for each call and you get a certain amount of free tows per year. I have Plus & I've never even come close to exceeding my # of free tows.

Also, just because they pull up in a flat bed doesn't mean it's always gonna be smooth sailing. You need to watch those dudes like hawks because for the most part, they don't care about your car. Sad but true.

Only on the Premier do you get the 200 mile tow. The others are 50 miles.

@ Stiv - Ya, I need to carry around some 2x4's in the trunk so I can raise my car a little to get in on a flatbed. I will do it myself before I let anyone trash my car.

@SnoDog - That first dip right out of their garage bay isn't to bad if you take it slow. But the driveway was a pain.

@Wendy - Surprisingly none of my friends have AAA. But this is just a precautionary measure I'm taking for those dreadful 'what-if' scenarios.

That's strange. I'm sure that my membership is plus and I had my 4WD turbo Celica towed from Redondo Beach to Mission Beach last year and I wasn't charged a penny.
