Default Powdercoating Shop for BBK

I picked up a StopTech BBK, but sadly the calipers got all scratched up during shipping. I searched for powdercoating places, but only found shops for wheels. Anyone have recommendations for a good PC shop, preferebly in the OC and able to retain the StopTech logos? I am willing to go extra miles for a quality job.

Satan, have you had a personal experience with that shop?

Fucy, are any of those on your car? How do the logos look in person?

Boo!!!! Kustom can't retain the logos and Lucent only works on Brembo calipers

Just an FYI for those who are interested in getting parts like brakes powdercoated...most processes involve baking which means you will need to replace all rubber/plastic parts on the calipers after they are powdercoated.

so far the only places i found that are able to retain the logos are on the east coast...one is a shop that i've heard on this forum alot, www.thepowdercoater.com. the other is a new sponsor...trgcoating. i'm hoping to keep this job local though and avoid the whole shipping headache, since the calipers got fukced up once shipping over my way.

George, those vinyls sound like a possible solution. Do you know how they would hold up against tracking heat?

I have heard that these guys also repaint brembo calipers. http://www.girodisc.com/

StopTech calipers are actually painted. It's a two part epoxy paint w/ the logo screen printed onto the caliper. Our calipers are assembled after the paint process. Brembo calipers are assembled and then painted as you can tell from the pictures above. See that the cross overtube, and certain hardware has paint over it.

Well you will need all new seals, so you could try doing it yourself or call the dealer and see what they would charge.

I should add that I'm not familiar w. the end results of repainted StopTech calipers. Results may vary.

Unfortuantely, I'm not complete familiar w/ the powdercoating process. Rebuilds are warranted based on functionality of the calipers.

temperatures in powder coating will not be higher than the operating temperature of the caliper it self anyway. My friend powdercoats at home, and he's already done his calipers fine.
