Default Header Install

How much would it cost and where should I go to get my headers installed in so cal. I've seen the DIY and I think I would just mess up my car, and that would suck. Any reputable shops that can do it at a decent price. Let me know. THanks...

i think headers post solid 9-15whp...people buy exhaust that gain only 8whp for more. so it's up to you. i think the real benefits is the tune afterwards as headers tend to change your a/f by alot

Find a shop with experience installing 350Z headers. The job should take about 3.5 hours. Are headers worth the cost? I don't have any dyno charts just time slips.

the cheapest installs for headers are in the 300s....you can't get an install for $200 on a reputable shop in cali...unless you also get in your knees and polish his ****...then the 9-15whp would definately not be worth it. LOL

Yeah, you can't really compare out of state prices w/ CA...

The gains are worth it if you do it in conjunction with everything else. Headers alone, probably not. But if you have other supporting mods, the gains will be more substantial.

From what I understand, unless you have access to a lift, its gonna be a REAL B!TCH.

For instance I asked Protocav to do it for me and he said he wont do header installs anymore because of how much a pain in the a$$ it is.

I think I'm gonna use Street Image.

Sure. I'm still debating whether to use SI or a local place called ES Sports.

SI = 37miles or 40 min. away. Cost ~$360

ES= 11.5miles or 13 min. away. Cost ~$425 (but he said it may raise if they run into trouble, but wont go over $500. *not a good sign*)

I am probably gonna go with SI since I feel more confident in their ability, its just harder to get there with traffic.
