i have non-resonated test pipes and it sounds good but pretty darn loud

so im looking for alternatives is there a significant sound difference?

 

yes resonated pipes (in a nutt shell) have that bulge that bounces the sound around in the chamber so the noise frequency/waves cancell each other out. they sound a little bit quieter/deeper.
