Road(s) to Vegas closed due to snow?
Hey So Cal/Nevada people!
I heard somewhere that some roads at this time of year are closed due to snow storms getting into Vegas. I'm planning on driving there from the Bay Area in a few days for New Year's (will be leaving this Thursday morning) and have a hard time believing the major roads getting into Vegas will be closed. I can understand smaller roads being closed. I guess I will be taking the "normal" route into Vegas via the 15. Anybody know if there is any truth to these statements? Any recommendations on websites for updated road closures/etc. or do I not even need to worry? Thanks!
PS: I won't be taking the Z; I'll be renting a minivan.

I drove back from Vegas on Sun 17th. A cold storm had gone through the night before and the summit just west of the CA/NV border had a light dusting of snow on the foothills as did the summit of the Cajon Pass (near San Bernardino). Both summits peak ~4300 feet (if I remember correctly) so they occasionally do get snow. Although I'd imagine the 15 would be clear/drivable most of the time.
