Default tru wheel or mag masters?

so which is it guys?

i got a curb rash on a pretty high end wheel (for me, that is)... my work VS-XX. i've read threads on curb rash and these two shops are the most recommended. i don't mind driving far or paying a bit extra for a better job.

I have visted Mag Masters for them to inspect my wheel which also has some mild curb rash (Top Secret GT-C's). Unfortunately, they don't resurface the area by adding anything back to the metal and then buffing it. If the damage is light, all they do is they shave the rest of the lip so it is uniform and then they buff it buf it won't have the shine the stock wheel had (since I have polished lips, anodised, it may have made a slight difference).

A good friend of mine , Ed, (Skar718) went to Wheels America and I believe that a huge chunk of his Axxis wheel was blown away and they repaired it. Give them a try also.

Sorry, I haven't had any actual expderience yet with rim repair. Still rolling around with one slightly scratched rim.

P.S. Is that you in your avatar?

I unfornately have some curb rash which I've been meaning to get fixed for some time. I'm going through

son tran 714.742.6855

who's recommended on a few bmw forums. I think he charges $70 per wheel, but that was some time ago, so it might have gone up since then. I'd expect to spend around $100 or so. He drives to you so you can get it fixed in your driveway.

The aforementioned wheels america is www.fixrim.com I was told they cost $125 per wheel.

For you that have your damaged rims repaired. Any before/after pics?

I'm looking at a set of rims a guy is selling.

here's a picture of the damage. Do you think any of those guys mentioned can fix that?

go with Son. He also to works on high end vehicles like Ferrari wheels and hes a very cool guy to deal with. Plus you dont have to go anywhere to get it done. he'll come to you!

Tru Wheels were able to buff out a rash on my Volks. However, they left the wheel in a bent condition and did not diagnose the problem correctly.

F1 Motorsports is my recommendation. They straightened out the wheel properly and got rid of another rash. They have an A+ grade in my book.
