Iv'e been to some of the club rubber and pimp n' ho thangs back in the day and they are not the type of environment to just chill and relax. You can barely hold a conversation unless you like to smoke, then you can go out to the smoke pad. As far as what to do, I'll hang with you guys if you do a run, I don't think I'll do the club thang. Unless you guys go to Garden of Eden or Dragonfly or Miyagi's.

 

I was on the streets. Yea I know... real smart of me. But the parking garage is pretty intense as well. Relatively small parking spaces... so watch out for door dings.

 

No charter members allowed! None of that phony charter BS allowed with us! j/k!

Garden of Eden has LOTS of eye candy... but it's nearly impossible for a group of us to get in since we have so many guys (and just one girl!). They'll usually just let the girls in and even if they say the guys are their boyfriends, they still won't let you in. Unless of course there are 8 girls and 2 guys and they refuse to go in unless the guys get in. That's how I do it anyway.
Miyagi's is nice to chill but don't expect to dance to their crappy music. Never been to Dragonfly. I still think Highlands is nice and if we park all the Z's together, we'll be fine. Just the Z's at the end need to take up two spots to ward off other people making door dings. Has anyone heard of some club called AD or something like that? It's supposed to be the hot spot these days.
Anyway, if it's on a Friday, I'd most likely go... but if it's Saturday, I might have to pass since I have a super early flight on Sunday. The best would be if you guys made a run and THEN went clubbing.

 

Yeah your right about Eden, its have a bunch of women or no go. Miyagi's more for chillin, drinking, and eating. Dragonfly is my fav, the place is kinda ghetto but the crowd isn't. Its usually not that packed so you can actually dance and the music they play is the best IMO(hip-hop). Then if you want to chill, theres a place in the back outside. Parking is nonexistent though. Your right, a run then clubbin/bar would be the best bet. If you guys do decide to do a run and then clubbin/bar (on same day)then I might consider staying up in LA for clubbin/bar. In that case I'll bring my fiance along.

 

If y'all go out friday nite I'm in. Can't go saturday tho. I'm just down for a spot with some drinkin & dancing, maybe dinner beforehand. Long Beach has **** clubs, I wanna see the world! Also, can we try to find as low a cover as possible? I hate the idea of paying for the priviledge to go inside and pay too much for drinks.

Highlands is ok. Park in the garage, get your parking validated at the resturant on the floor below the club Plenty of spots if you don't get there too late. The club is loud, w/ big overcrowded patio too. Get there early or know someone to get in.

Rubber is overcrowded and wild. Eye candy is an understatement with half naked women (more like 2/3 naked) and its a really loud intense environment (check out the pics on the site). I think I changed my mind and I'm probably going to skip this one this time around. I'll go to the next one

Garden is smaller and more 'chill' with dim lighting and the typical hollywood crowd. I know a few of the boys up front, but its still a gamble -- depends whos in charge for the night. I used to do promotions for this club along with barfly.

My buddy does Sunset room on friday nights -- thats an option.

Myagi's is ok, but where do we park?? Most hollywood clubs/bars are a tough to find parking for 1 car, let alone with a caravan of Z's. Sunset blvd on fri-sat nights is a mess.

 

Sunset room? Fun? Amen to the mess on Suset Fri/Sat.

How about we eat an early dinner on friday (or even by ourselves), go on a short run, and then head to highlands and get there by 10 the latest. The earlier the dinner we get in, the less drinks it'll take to get buzzed later on in the night.

Well, I suggest we get to Highlands as early as possible... so that we can all find parking spaces linked to each other.

We can meet at 8pm or so at some EZ access location, then caravan down together to the Highlands. We can eat at the restaurant upstairs in Highlands, or any other eateries inside the mall.

Well, I can probably only hang out with you guys on Saturday. It would be hard for me to get up to LA by 8pm. It's cool anyways, shake some *** for me. So are you guys still doing stuff on Sat, like a run, or will you guys be recovering from the night before? I'm probably gonna be up in West Covina this Saturday regardless to see some family.

Nonetheless, Friday is the only day I can hang out and I would prefer to do something chill. But that's just me.

Personally, I won't be going to Dragonfly... a couple of my friends were in the audience when they filmed a really disgusting porno there a little while back and I will never touch any of their couches, tables or furniture again... yuck!!!! (and yes, it was actually my "friends" and not me; and you don't want to know what they did in the club)

A fraternity brother of mine is supposed to be one of the Club AD owners and it sounds like a cool place... but I've never been and I don't keep in touch with him anymore, so I'm basically useless cause I don't think I can get us past the line.

What ever happened to the Intercrew night, or rosen, stone age, palm tree, bliss, etc... k-town cafes are pretty chill... besides with hfm, bullish, myself, iris and whoever else is asian, there shouldn't be any problems if non-asians join us... though someone among us should be able to speak korean... that won't be me.

 

LOL. Poor boy is more of a Twinkie than I am and I'm pretty much Hostess. I can get us by on the Korean since I used to do the Ktown scene in college but I bet Bullish can do better since he's still doing that scene.

 

I'm down. Whatever you guys decide. I know some places on the west side that are cool, but I dunno if you guys wanna do the west side thing. Q's on Wilshire in west LA, and Renae's on Wilshire in Santa Monica are cool for less crazy places. Q's has pool (but very overpriced pool on weekends. like $16 an hour) For me it mostly depends on which night butterfly is gonna go and bring all her girl friends.

 

Amen to that! Can I join also? I work on Friday night so can't do that. I'm down for Saturday depending on what we are doing. I think a meet/run would be the best, I'd like to go out clubbing or to a bar, but I'm a young one (18). Look older, but if they card, I'm screwed.
