Default California Speedway 02/10/07

I know its sort of short notice, but trying to gauge how many of you are planning or may consider going to the track this coming Saturday.

I haven't ran my car for over a year and haven't really been interested in going, but the last two times the track was open I found myself there! The last time there were more 350Z's than I can actually remember seeing.

So, with that in mind, feel free to post up if you want to go together as a group, or if there's a small interest, atleast you'll know someone at the track.

Sign up list:

I've been out there every month since Sept. Hope the weather forecast sticks.

Time Attack is 10-11, looks like they may get rained out. I think Saturday is practice Sunday is the races for that event.

Let me make a clarification as some of you have taken the time to PM me about this.

This thread is intended for the STREET LEGAL DRAG RACES, hence the Dragway was mentioned. Sorry if I was vauge.

However, for those of you interested in stoping by during/after the time attack, you're also more than welcome to do so.

I'd stop by but I'll be in Florida. I'd like to see what my car does in the 1/4 at some point.

I saw the 4myride G35 on my way West the other day

I may be there. I was out there last month and it sucked big time, the conditions were misearble to be out in. The high was ~45 F and we had at least a 20 mph headwind. The track was like ice at 4 p.m when I finally got to run.

I need to avenge that lousy 14.6.

You can show up later and just walk in and not race.

The track always as a pretty strong headwind, which slows everybody down.

wish I could be there, but have a family gig to attend.

Last time out was just not conducive for a good run. Track never heated up! burnouts were almost useless under those conditions.

But, I'll be out there April 7th..the next event there.

Yeah... I've been kind of worried about the conditions being the same as the last couple of times... specialy with this recent cold weather change. I'm also hesitant on waking up and beign there at the crack of dawn.

But, a couple of my friends are going for sure, taking the trailers, BBQ pits, food/drinks, so I know it'll be fun. We've had a "tail gate party" before, so I figured I open the invitation.

So just to clear it up but is this the quarter mile or a full-track?

What time is everyone meeting?

The street legal event is 1/4 mile. At the same time is the Redline Time Attack on the infield.

I suggest getting to the gates by 6:30, the 400 car limit is hit most of the time.

Yes, its for the 1/4 mile dragstrip at California Speedway.

In regards to meeting up, that depends on the how many people actualy decide to go. As of now, my friends and I are meeting off Chery Ave and the 10fwy (the exit for the speedway). If anyone is interested in meeting up at that time, or consider going later that day as a spectator, feel free to PM so we can xchange #'s.
