Default need recommendation for good accident attorney in Socal

The short of it, is that I was hit by someone on 10-31-06. The other insurance, Farmers, has claimed 100% fault. However my insurance, Mercury, is refusing to cover the costs of a replacement custom headlight and clear bra, even though they specifically said that they would cover it, and even had me send over receipts. I've documented all the conversations since the accident.

Mercury is asking that I take this up with Farmers, which to me is unacceptable. You don't ask a customer to go fight with a major insurance carrier on your behalf.

So at this point, I'm ready to hire an attorney for this. I'm looking at $3000 in lost wages, headlight costs, and clear bra.

Contingency basis over a pair of headlights and a clear bra? What would happen if you win? He gets the headlights and the attorneys keep the bra?

I already have the car back in 100% working condition. But I'm just upset that Mercury stated that these costs would be covered, and after I send them the receipts, and spend hundreds out my own costs, they do a 180 and say that it won't be covered. I know that they're just hoping that I'll go away, and accept my loses, but it's like traffic tickets. If everyone fights them, the system crashes.

I just talked to someone yesterday, her husband works for Mercury. Apparently Mercury is the worst insurance company, and this kind of **** happens all the time. He says he would never ever ever use mercury insurance.

Switch providers next time.

Good luck getting your few hundred $$$

Yeah, I'll switch in July when it's time for renewal. If they're not going to help me out when the other insurance company has already claimed 100% fault, I shudder to think what would happen if I were at fault.

We have two cars under them, with pretty much max coverage. They just lost two customers.
