Hey guys.... I have a question for you. Especially the guys that want the Nismo hood.

Couldn't you guys just get a body shop cut a few slits on your hood to give the Nismo RS look? It doesn't look like it would be very hard to do. Your stock hood isn't very heavy either.

ken, would you be able to find some high quality detailed pics of an amuse hood? i want to get the exact measurements of where the slits and vents are so i can try to have a shop customize my oem hood. the design doesn't look very complicated.

haha you're right, that does look like the amuse hood. I really like it with all the air ducts. In my original post there is this one that looks EXACTLY like the one you posted from amuse:

Definately a sweet hood!

well if you look at that pic you just posted, that hood seems to have a little point in the front of the first vent area. the amuse one is smooth all along. i guess i could have that sanded down, since i would have the hood painted anyway...

I also noticed after posting that the amuse hood had 4 ducts and the cf one I posted only has 3. I do like that hood thos I really like the unpainted black one I posted the best! I actually found that pic on EBAY and I think the hood was like $290 plus shipping.

yea that flat black (frp?) looked pretty good. ive been searching the web for more pics of the amuse so i can take it to a local shop and have them cut/mold it. hope it doesn't turn out retarded though.

That would be cool if you can have someonecut and make it into the hood. Only thing might be hard to do is if you have the stock hood it has those 2 dented stripes down the middle and may be hard to make those flat and mold well. But good luck on that tho post pics of it when done! I had it done to my cavalier years ago and it worked out pretty good since the hood was flat without any rivets or major curves
