El Cantro is a little past SD, like 100 miles or so. It is mid-way to Yuma. So it is just open road.

15N to 58W basically going in from Barstow/Victorville to Mojave, then hit the 14S past Rosamond( aka Willow Springs) down past lancaster/palmdale, then hit the 5 then 210 drive thru pasadena, then eventually you'll hit the 10 or the 60 somewhere then back to Corona.
round trip should be a like... 150+ miles? that should be enough tuning roadage.
