the 2 or 3 other angeles crest meets we've recently had have gone pretty well.. as far as i remember the only issue we had was danny skidding out and messing up his bumper once. i could be wrong though.
the regulars that come on these drives usually do very very well in keeping enough distance between the cars, and we make absolutely sure that those who aren't comfortable driving too fast are in the back. when i said 'we've done this before' i didnt mean it to be a diss to you guys' advice, i mean that yes, we've taken all the things you've said into consideration.
frankly if you're afraid of getting ticketed because of something WE do, wouldn't it be better if you didn't come? i'd much rather the non-super-modded people not be blamed for the super-modded people getting a $$$$$$ ticket and dealing with all that hassle.

For the record I lost a old buddy up there on the crest so I never mind an extra........"be careful" then again I can have respect for the person who cares enough to say it. Hey but if you know it all you know it all. With the best respect have fun be safe.

Elitist...what are you talking about. If we were elitist you think I would return Nitrousz who was a newb at the time and has over $100Kinvested in the car call to install his first body kit on his car.

Is being an Elitist setting up several succesfull meets for new and old school members.

Is being an elitist getting member on this forum discounts on labor and parts for them when they were newbs.

Cmon man get the whole picture before you post biased opions or are you jusrt on another girls jock.

none of us mind an extra "be careful" thanks for heads up. sorry to hear about your buddy. but when you guys talk about going up there to see how we run the canyons like if we dont know what were doing is totally a diffrent thing.

He never said that nor did any of the old schoolers did. We just want everybody to be safe. You know what I said, dont twist it again after I explained myself. We wont know how you run unless we check it out.

I have set up several succesfull meets for the new and old school to meet up. Hmmm let me think. First one was my thread of the 818 GTG with the Camp1320 meet (4/2005), next was the number of canyon runs, how bout the hooters meet, local shop meets, the 6 month weekly bar meet, oh wait what about the recent dav and buster meet a couple of weeks ago. It's the newbs that keep asking for the meets to be set up and I recently started doing so. What have yo done for the members on this board.

nismo--- it's cool that you've set up meets for people.. and yeah the dave and busters one a couple weeks ago was fun but... you seriously cannot deny that you guys stuck to your clique that you knew. the rest of us sat down to eat, drink, you all ran off to play. which is TOTALLY FINE...but it was like the 3rd time i've met you guys and barely gotten a hello. you ARE involved with people on the forums, yes i completely understand and i do see it. but you do pick and choose who to get involved with, help out, etc.

please don't tell me 'respect is earned.' it works both ways.

can we get back to the sign ups?

Yes but with anything isn't it in our nature to stay with what is comfortable. Isn't it also human nature to pic and choose who we associate with. Not to say one is better than the other, it's just what that person is comfortable with. I am more open to someone that has the same interest in modding. If you were to come up and ask for some help and if I can do it I wouldn't refuse to help you. That's who I am, but at the same time I will not sit here if I feel something is not right. We honestly don't know how you guys drive. You gotta understand my reservations. I'm not saying I dont speed but I'm just very cautious so I dont get caught. There will be other meets and welcome the new people to comeout. If you feel that you are being ignored say something right then and there, but dont call us elitist.

Here is the list have fun on the run.

Wow! this is getting outta hand! At what point did it become the "newbs" against the "old skoolers". In a sense, I think this big misunderstanding somehow. I really dont know what more to say...
