I can honestly say I never installed anything on any of your cars. You would have a coronary if you paid more than a dollar for install

What happened here....this thread is ridiculous. A simple post of "drive safely and have fun" is welcomed, but other than that, just leave it alone.

This is all basic stuff guy. I don't see why you'd think this run would be unsafe in anyway. Of course there is some inherent danger, which is what makes it fun really, but to state and assume that these drives and the people who participate in them are unsafe is really uncalled for.

Despite of what my join date says, I've been a member of this forum in one way or another for almost 3 years. You say that you organize canyon runs, but for the life of me, I honestly can't remember or think of one canyon run that you've organized in the last two years. Looking through some of your posts, it looks as if you have private drives and invite people through PM. That's all well and good, and I understand if you prefer to drive with people you know, but if that's the case, you should probably stay away from the publicly organized drives. Besides, they're likely all just "newbs" who probably can't drive.

Oh and I think I've mentioned this previously in another thread, but I don't see why you're so determined to separate "newbs" from "old-schoolers." Just because someone recently joined a forum or recently stepped into a Z does not make them a noob in real life. These so-called "newbs" might have numerous track experience, know the canyons like the back of their hand along with having experience with a multitude of different cars. So in the future, I'd watch who you call a noob.

I'm always down for a run, just depends on how my weekend is planned out. If I'm available though, I'll try to make it.

I much prefer canyon driving, but lining up with someone once in awhile is fine with me.
I never stated any of the new people cant drive. I even went as far as to state that there are people out there that have far better experience than I do driving. I'm sure there are some members that grew up karting.

Bro I never cared about anyones join date or post count. Fact of the matter I really dont care if the new guys car is modded or not. All that matters is that person is genuine. Look I have friends that have Z that are modded and bone stock auto (not a jab at any auto owners, i think they are quick). Who doesn't prefer to drive with people they know. Everyone does, but I want to make sure that the new person coming along would be cool. Hell you guys probably think my driving style might be conservative or aggressive. It's all subjective.

I cant make this any clearer regarding old & new members. I have no intentions, nor have I stated that I want the old member apart from the new. I also never stated nor believe that new members cant drive. In the future I should watch who I call a newb? Doesn't the same go for the new people calling us elitist.

please don't tell me 'respect is earned.' it works both ways.

can we get back to the sign ups?

Now I find this funny. Because the way I was introduced to the group was.....I just showed up at a meet with my new stock Z. And I went around, and talked to people (more than just hello) and got to know all these guys.

So, I think if you had just put in some effort at the last meet, and tried to hang with these guys, you'd be taking a different tone today.
