Default ? for SoCal Lowered Z's

I just paid $135 to get my car aligned. I have it dropped on hotchkis springs which lower it about .75 rear and about .6 front (IIRC). I got charged $90 starting because the car is lowered and then $45 bucks because my wheels are 18" or "oversized" .... granted I went to a smaller garage because I was refered to them by a trusted mechanic. Last time I had a lowered vehicle aligned I went to xpress tire and they did it for $70 bucks. That was my sentra se-r spec v and it had 17" wheels, but was lowered 1.2 inches all around and after i bumped a curb and messed up the alignment they did it again for FREE because it was with in the work's warranty period!

Did I over pay today or is everyone paying this to get their Z's aligned?

when i had my civic it seemed like the shop oweners charged less because its a civic.. seems like since they think that we drive a sports car they think we have money. i got my civic exhaust installed for $45 and my Z for $80. people imo will charge more since its a sports car..

West Covina Nissan should be the first place you think about with all your Z needs.

lol... sounds like a commercial but it's true!

Yeah, thats probably part of it, maintenance and parts in general tend to cost more for a higher end car. Its unfortunate because Im not rich and I worked for the money for my Z!

Frank - when you say "alignments for the club" does that mean for my350z members? or? How far is west covina from north county san diego?

I paid like $80 for mine. West Covina is like an hour from Temecula, so I'd say its at least 1 1/2-2 hours for you.

I paid $169, but it is a lifetime alignment. I can now go in anytime I want and they do it for free! So, everytime I get tires now, I get a free alignment.

Yeah that not a bad price when I went to xpress last time it came with a warranty period and you could buy the lifetime if you wanted too... the place i went today doesnt warranty the work at all because the car is lowered... forget that sh*t.

I'm all the way down here in the 949 but with the good things I hear about West Covina, seems like its worth a visit.
