? for SoCal Lowered Z's
I just paid $135 to get my car aligned. I have it dropped on hotchkis springs which lower it about .75 rear and about .6 front (IIRC). I got charged $90 starting because the car is lowered and then $45 bucks because my wheels are 18" or "oversized" .... granted I went to a smaller garage because I was refered to them by a trusted mechanic. Last time I had a lowered vehicle aligned I went to xpress tire and they did it for $70 bucks. That was my sentra se-r spec v and it had 17" wheels, but was lowered 1.2 inches all around and after i bumped a curb and messed up the alignment they did it again for FREE because it was with in the work's warranty period!
Did I over pay today or is everyone paying this to get their Z's aligned?

i dont want to say you payed to much,as long as they did a good job,i think it is money well spent,we are doing the alignments for the club for 69.95 with no extra charges for the normal upgrades, but for someone that is not seeing the products as much as we are i'd say its fair..

when i had my civic it seemed like the shop oweners charged less because its a civic.. seems like since they think that we drive a sports car they think we have money. i got my civic exhaust installed for $45 and my Z for $80. people imo will charge more since its a sports car..

Yeah, thats probably part of it, maintenance and parts in general tend to cost more for a higher end car. Its unfortunate because Im not rich and I worked for the money for my Z!
Frank - when you say "alignments for the club" does that mean for my350z members? or? How far is west covina from north county san diego?

Yeah that not a bad price when I went to xpress last time it came with a warranty period and you could buy the lifetime if you wanted too... the place i went today doesnt warranty the work at all because the car is lowered... forget that sh*t.
