there was a flood in my street, i guess the streets main waterline bursted causing niagra falls to shower down in my neighborhood (the water is still shooting up around 150 feet in the air).. i wasn't aware of this until my neighbors came rushing to my house telling me that my car is about to get flooded.. so i run out to my car and see the water exactly at the point where my doors open (about to flood in).. i turn on the car and drive away quickly asap..

well my question is, will my car get messed up in any way? my friend told me a story about his accord being in a flood and said his car sucked up water right into his engine causing his engine to malfunction..

it seriously is a river in my street right now, seen nothing like it.. gators could live here if they wanted to right now..

thats kind of cool, you have nothing to worry about, unless you had a COLD AIR INTAKE WHICH YOU DONT HAVE WHICH WOULD BE TOTALLY SUBMERGED IN WATER WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING... but the possiblity of that happening since your car isnt lowered yet on 19" is very slim and you dont have the intake so you coo bro... dont worry

The term is called hydro-locking - when your intake sucks in water and since water doesn't compress as easily as air, when the piston compresses, something will break (usually the piston rod, which will start to shred your block). If you have a CAI, then it's more likely, if you don't then I'd only worry about the damage of water getting into your cabin.

i've tried parking my car on the driveway twice, both times the bottom of my car hit the floor.. the flood sucks.. i hope it goes away soon.
