What kind of tanabe springs? I put my REAR GF210's on in like 20 min. thats with putting my stuff awayand clean up. If you want to come over one day on a weekend I can put my fronts on and then you can see if you want us to do yours. We should be able to do yours in like an hour or two. I'm not sure how hard it is to do the fronts, but from what I've read (and from the people I've talked to) it should only take 1 hour/ 1 1/2 hour to do the whole swap front and rear. We'll know for sure since I'll do my fronts first. I dont have ALL my tools but, I have enough to get the job done.

+1 the rear are very simple. Shocks are on the A-arm and the springs on the toe mount. Its a simple un-bolt, pop spring out and put the GF210's in and your set.
The front is a little more tricky since its the conventional shock/spring setup. I've done this install many many times (w/other cars w/out a compressor, but I have to say it is much safer and cleaner to do it with a compressor. The tough part will be taking the shock off of the A-arm. There is a rod connecting from the A-arm to the front swing arm (if I remember correctly, its been over a year ago ) you have to unbolt that to allow for the A-arm to be pushed down. You have to really step down on the A-arm to pull your shocks out (that's where the extra help comes in hand). Remember to disconnect the attached brake hose before removing shocks
With help, things will be much much easier. I did mine by myself and took my time. Like I mentioned earlier, you're in a good position because you don't have to tune your ride to specs since its a spring install. Until now, I still have to tune my camber/toe and sometimes my dampening because I can't make up my mind how low I want to go, LOL! Last night I just finished installing my toe kit. I always had it still in the box, but when I decided to drop lower I needed it and I had uneven tire wear so I finally got off my *** and did it last night......much, much better stance now and no more uneven wear.

I feel with this info. I can change my front springs (and yours) without a spring compressor. If I am wrong Autozone is just down the street and I can go rent one.. and we can knock both of them out in one shot. My Dad worked on cars for 17 years when I asked him if I could do it without the spring compressor he said " ya no prob". My actual compressor for my air tools is in storage, so everything will have to be done by hand, but I have swapped out my motor in my REX by hand a few times. If you wanna set up a date to do it let me know when and what time ( I would like to start in the A.M. on a weekend). You can come to Final, we can have some beer and pizza and watch me get some bloody knuckles.
a nice write up!

how does Sunday the 11th around 10:00am sound??? I think that gives us enough time to make sure we all have it open. Hey 10sec would we do it at your house? What would be the address? Also, I have a small air compressor I can bring over and I have a couple of floor jacks. Should I bring them over?

Here's a list to start things up. I will only put a list up for the meet since I will be organizing it. For the springs install, unfortunately I can't post up a list because its not being done at my house. Whoever's going to host the install can post up a list too
January kick off meet:
-Where: Smart & Final parking lot (off of Bear Valley Rd.)
-When: January 11th (Sunday)
-Time: 7pm
-Route: Meet at 7pm, roll out for dinner around 7:30ish (up for discussion)
-Who: HD crowd (you don't have to have a 350z )
