I would like to know what dealer in LA would let you test drive a Z without a salesman next to you?

what color is your car?, i may have seen you around because all the people in the wrx always want to race me, and i am not the one to turn down a challenge.
now that i think of it, is your car silver or red? i raced a couple of those the other night and all the owners did was flip the bird to me. the silver had some type pf exhaust didnt see much more, it was at night, and the red had a bodykit, exhaust, and sounded like a nice BOV.

made runs from 5-120, closest the wrx came to me was my rear tire.

not that it was you, but it is hard to race w/such a peaky turbo that needs to spool...

once my car is out of the shop (front bumper re-paint/mismatch) i'll c ya around.

But he is a dumbarse, and should be handled like one.

First of all, he comes onto a forum where he does not belong... (why? I don't surf the WRX forums, I don't want one: they are f*cking ugly as hell) And he comments on how tite our car looks. Well, seeing that NOBODY will argue that point, since his car is so ugly and ours beautiful... he give us props on the GIVEN point.

Then, his insecurities about his car manifests into the comment about how SLOW our cars are and how FAST his is. First of all... It's a 4 banger 4 door SUBARU for Christ's sake. When S2k's argue that they are faster... that may be valid... although I smoked every S2k I raced so far. But a SUBARU?!?!? What the hell you smoking lil man???

Go test drive a Z with about 5000 miles on the OD feels totally different.

 

keep in mind, I gained 23 hp AT THE WHEELS after the first 10k miles just as it was breaking in......Both stock Dyno runs at the same location only difference being miles. At 1400 miles I put down 223 and then 246 at 11k miles.


My car feels night and day difference from new to now.....just a FYI- not sure how many miles were on this one

You can make anything go fast with boost. Like the honda guys say... All-motor is much better than pressurized power.

Take that turbo off and your Subaru Impreza is pretty slow.

so... it added about 150-200 lbs to the car. could be why the car was slow dont you think?

 

What's 150-200 lbs. About 1.5-2 1/10ths of a second in the 1/4 mile, Not that big of a difference. Drews wrx is a mid 13 second car, it only traps about 98-100mph. I thought the z would be able to at least keep up.

And about 4cyl not having any topend, I have been in his car at about 145mph. I think that's fast enough.

Why doesn't someone with a Z race him if you all think his car is slow.

One more thing, If he wanted a Z he could write a check for it, so stop thinking that he's jealous.

Would I trade my car for a WRX? HELLZZZZ NO!

Park our cars next to each other... and see which car the ladies go for... Hmm... No brainer.

I have a 350z that I paid 27,xxx (enthusist). My wife has a 02 wrx that I paid 24,xxx for they are both fun cars to drive.
They are also very different cars to drive. The 350z for me is far more FUN to drive i don't car if modding my wifes car is dollar for horsepower cheaper then my 350z. It should be cheaper to mod its an econobox turbo.

They are so different I don't even know where to begin. When I want to go to the grocery store I take the WRX when I want to go have some spirited driving I take 350z its that simple. Maybe the WRX can win in the 1/4 mile but I drive about 50 miles in a day and 49 3/4 of those I'd kick the **** out of the WRX.

 

hey...i never said the wrx was slow. good time for the wrx @ mid 13s....HOWEVER, a couple of ppl here hit high 13s too bone stock (do a search).

Trash259- high 13s stock, hard to believe. But then again, there are those freakish cars out there. There is this one WRX with ONLY up-pipe, pulleys, unichip=13.0x....thats unheard of.

The next thing I want to add is this.....I only came on this board to post my review of my test drive. My first comment was not, my car can beat any 350Z, who wants to race my WRX. I said what I thought needed to be improved upon on the car.

 

im 19. i was going to buy a wrx. msrp 25k. then i went to the nissan dealer. 26k for a 350z. sat in both. i like the feeling of being able to turn on the radio or ac and not being afraid its going to fall off. the subaru is a piece with a nice motor. when i found out i could pick up a Z for basically the same price as a rex, the choice was easy to make. and i will be buying within the next couple months. than i plan to go FI. I'm also in Socal.

 

to know what it is exactly you have done to your car to think you can box.
