Angry Pulled over for Tint!!!!!!! WTF

OK so my tint is a little dark but not as dark as some that i have seen. But anways i was getting on the freeway and i saw the cop creeping up on me. i was only doing about 75 in a 70 zone and i have stock everthing exept for the intake so there should be no red flags. but as i was getting ready to merge off on my exit the cop moves into the next lane like he was going to pass me and a split sec later he slams on his breaks and gets behind me and lights me up. i was like WTF all for Tinted windows. It must be slim pickens out there nowadays. Not metting there quata or something.

Also on my ticket it say's where the correction secton is and it has yes or no boxes. it is marked no so does this mean tht i am gonna recieve a fine or is it a fix it ticket and if it is a fine what is the penalty now days?

oh thata bastard if it says not corretable you have to get it removed still but you also have to go to court and hope that the judge reduces your fine down to a fix it ticket. if he does then it is only 10 bucks. so dress nice and get it signed off by a CHP or some other police.

Just go to the nearest police station or sub-station and have them sign off the ticket

after you remove the tint

I got a warning for tints and expired license plate sticker on Saturday...

I guess the trooper was bored

He gave me a warning, have me sign it - and than said I can throw it out if I want. (?)

One thing to keep in mind if you have "illegal tint" on your car..... it is entirely possible that your insurance will refuse to pay a claim if they think an accident might have been avoided if you didn't have illegal tint.

i'm running limo all around. sides and rear. havent gotten hassled yet. you should be able to just go by a station or even find a cop sitting in a lot not doing anything and they should sign it off for ya. how dark is your tint if you dont mind me asking....if its not too dark you might be able to find a chill cop and just have him sign it off without removing the tint.

This is why I don't run tints on any of my cars. It gives the cops a good enough reason to pull me over, pop my hood and write tickets for other infractions.

I may be wrong but when I got a ticket for window tint I was told it is no longer a fix it ticket, its now a fine so theres no need to get it sign off. They don't care if you take the tint off or not but if you get a second window tint ticket the fine will double and a third ticket the fine triples and so on.

This thread is making me nervous. Can you disclose where this was at exactly so I'll know to stay away? (hoping not any of the spots/freeway I frequent)

it was on the 10 fwy in the palm springs area, and it was by a HWY Patrol.

This Sucks!!!!!

Also what sucks is that i passed alot of POPOS out here and they did nothing and all of a sudden this piece of bacon is worried about my tint.

By the way it was a cloudy day when this happend so my tint looked really dark. And as far as the % of my tint i just called the tint guy to find out because i forgot i think its 50% on sides and Limo on the Back
