MKZ, I didn't get this either. Who is saying I am spoiled, Universal City Nissan? B/c they must hate me by now - hopefully I got somebody fired. Don't think I'm spoiled - I paid for all my own education, cars, clothes, etc..

I haven't worn my leather pants yet.... Maybe you are talking about me in my Touring Frost heated seats?

bobbarker, no, we were not in school together - i just met him one day at UCN.

1. i'll have to agree the service there sucks. i wrote a letter about it and someone did get fired..not just from my letter

2. you were wearing a leather jacket that day

wasn't that the time you came in for the bose sub?... there was a problem and "they thought you wouldn't notice.. "

sometimes i want to go to another dealership to have my repairs done. is that allowable?

that is a good question. that is why i haven't bothered to get my window streak TSB done yet. (plus it is not that big of a deal that i want them taking my doors apart, esplly if i don't trust them arleady).

Can I go to another dealer if I want warranty work done?

I don't see why not - what if you bought your car but then moved? You would have to drive all the way back just to get warranty work done? But I would like someone who actually knows to answer PLEASE!!!

Yes, you can take your car to another dealer for warranty work. Theoretically, you can take your car to ANY Nissan dealer for warranty work. Caveat: Some car companies' franchise dealers can refuse to work on your car. BMW is one that comes to mind. Most dealers don't care, your just another paying customer to them, but if your warranty work causes them to lose money, then all bets may be off.

I would suggest you e-mail Nissan at the main website and ask them straight up. I would be interested in their answer. Iris, since you are an attorney, maybe you can interpret if a legalese answer is what you get. Also, lets face it, if you insult or deride a dealership face-to-face or in say, the BBB, they may not want to see your car or you ever again. I would be interested to know if Nissan legally requires their dealers to work on all Nissans in warranty.

that depends (I'm assuming) upon the terms of the dealer's agreement/contract with Nissan... but my dealer told me that all Nissan dealerships must honor my warranty...

then again, you never can trust what a dealership tells you and if you go where they don't like you, they'll either perform crappy work, break something else, or make it hell for you each time you show up there... (i.e. never having your car done on time or keep telling you to come back another day).

All dealerships will fill your warranty needs. And don't think they're gonna gripe over getting paid - they get paid by NNA for their labor. The biggest difference is that car companies build specific payback values for certain repairs, ie if your tranny goes Nissan may allocate $300 in parts/labor for that repair, even if the tech says it took him 40 hours to complete. But every single Nissan dealership in the country will honor your warranty work and TSB's.

Thats a lie and a slap to the face from kazaa -- plus the lite version sucks. It's better to follow a few cleanup instructions and run the full one (without cydoor and all the other crap). I'm doing that on about 6 of my pc's.

I think I'm a addict as well. Checking this forum is a twice a day (at least) activity.

I never really thought about it until yesterday when this site was down for several hours. I got this sinking feeling that I couldn't get my Z fix.
