Redline Time Attack and West Coast Nationals
What a California weekend. I meet Rob from ZCG first thing in the am, and we cruise to Buttonwillow to cheer-on our Z32 and Z33 brethren at the Redline Time Attack held at Buttonwillow Raceway. From there we headed to Anaheim for the West Coast Nationals held on Sunday the 29th. You’ve seen pics from the show and pics from the Time Attack, so I’ve summarized my weekend of both.
Shortly into our drive, we pass over the San Luis Reservoir. Yeah, California sucks.

Our drive was cool and problem-free. Welcome to the Redline Time Attack.

Glenn, seen here, and Lee D were hard at work on Salah’s car as well:

Here is Salah’s ducting, followed by Kuah’s:

I snapped this vid of the SPL 300, and what a driver (and nice guy!) Ryan is:

Salah has to be one of the most, uh, aggressive, drivers I know. I believe he said his camber was a degree out until they made adjustments:

Followed by:

Yes, there were some hotties there.
The skin on this one had everyone staring, and is NSFW, so here is the link: http://www.photodump.org/stored13/sc...ie-topless.JPG
Ready to run:

GT3 Cup Car (spec Miata for guys with $$$)

The winner of the modified class:

A few other cars out and about follow.
This rare RHD GTIR:

V8 Z31

TTOD S15

Beautiful 240ZG

The Zs check in:

Congrats to the SPL Parts Z32TT and Team Zalah Z32TT who both took second place in their respective classes.
Rob and I head out after the last session to get down to Anaheim. We check in to the Orange Doubletree Inn. Everything looks normal at this Doubletree, right? Look more closely.

But upon closer inspection, it appears Spiderman has webbed Rob to the window.

While out food-searching, I find this guy. I wish I had this as a kid:

Sunday am:
Dean meets me bright-and-early at the hotel. It was too wet outside, or we would have done a little roll on video:

Time to clean ‘er up from the insect-filled drive before things heat up too much:

Much better:

And the new NISMO 350z:

One more from the 350 crowd:

Now onto the rest of the show: Mr. Ks old 240z greets us as usual

There really were some beautiful early gen Zs in attendance:

GO San Jose SHARKS!

RB240Z

Got, headlights?

Why can’t Z32-owners park in a line?

See the theme?

Get it yet?

Kevin Neely’s beauty (nice engine bay!):

Kevin’s mod-sheet after I got done with it and explained what “ETC ETC” meant:

One of our favorite TT owned by SpeedyZX (Joe K):

This ~700rwhp monster is owned by my buddy Cons from Socal:

And the ZPider with 345 rears:

Does anyone else STILL HAVE the magazine? I do:

The drive home was hot, long, and interesting. First we see this guy on the highway:

Then this horrible accident:

We forge through and enjoy a Cali sunset. Once again – Cali sucks, eh?
