I recently had to upgrade to an SA2000+ helmet and I ended up bying an SA2005 HJC HX10 helmet from the store at Buttonwillow. http://www.hjc-motorsports.com/
Simpson has a great factory store in Harbor City, where I purchased updated Hans Device hardware. http://www.simpsonraceproducts.com/c...pr_121506.aspx
Impact Racing (Bill Simpson's new company) has a factory store at Irwindale Speedway. http://www.impactraceproducts.com/default.wws
Bell has a dealer/store in Costa Mesa. http://bellhelmets.com/
I'm sure there are many I've missed, but coupled w/ Sube Sports, that's what I can recall.
just get a 100-150 dollar HJC helmet..Its dot and snell approved and very confortable..They just suck *** when u are on a motorcycle because the wind noise is terrible from crappy aerodynamics/sound proofing. My friend landed right on his noggin in the canyons and the helmet held up just fine. I personally use the Shoei line which is amazing.

a while back drift day was selling pyrotech helmets which were only like under 200 dollars i believe 150 ish for closed mask and a lil bit less for open face
alot of racers ive seen on track use pyrotech because its a good bang for the budget but of course you cannot compare it to arai, shoei or sparco
im referring to car helmets though***

Can't put a price tag really on safety equipment. A good helmet, seats, seat belts, and cage FTW
Pyrotect helmets are pretty good, and they're not that expensive compared to the other ones.
It's kind of ironic when people will spend $500 for a JDM full Ti intake tube, but wont spend the same amount to protect their head. (not talking about you specifically Cannysage)

you should go to berts or delamo to try one on but then when you decide to actually buy one go to parts411.com they do price matching and have really decent prices. they are out of san dimas.
Sube is run by an egotistical jerk. True, you can try on his overpriced stock and sit in one of his overpriced seats, just don't buy from him.
Ebay is still a good source to buy on. Simpson Bandit open face, new condition and 2 years old...$50.
