I want one of the buttons on that site that says "Don't Shop Inglewood: It's a Red Light Town"

Glad I could help.

It was in Laguna Beach and a man who decided to film the yellow turning red with a stopwatch found out the yellow had changed to red before the required minimum time set by law.

He fought it in court and one...hence millions in dollars in refunds for motorists who got tickets because of a faulty system...

There are times when you must question things because if you don't, people would just get bent over and the government will just have their way.

Im not antigovernment...but it is only fair that they be checked as well as we citizens are checked...

We must make sure that we are not being screwed over because we just sit there and let these things happen!

Great example with the man fighting back and investigating if the system was faulty...

It wasn't an accident that the yellow was too short. It's happening all over. They got the idea from Europe, and yellows have been getting shorter ever since. One day they'll decrease the minimum time needed for yellows.

I timed the yellow light on Amar & Grand. It is approximately 5 seconds. Does anyone know what the legal duration should be?

Damn! Maybe I'm screwed...however when did you check the timing of the yellow light?

My ticket was at the end of the month and I believe that the timing of those things are adjustable...not to be a conspiracy theorist but they may just change the timing towards the end of the month for revenue purposes...

They then will change it back for risk that someone may actually time the yellow and catch them being shady !!!!!!!!!

Well I got an extension so I can do my own investigation and Ill keep you all posted!!!!!!

I not 100 percent sure but my friends dad gets them alot and always seems to win either cause he fights it and says some constitutional stuff about his rights and how he never had a say in putting it up or if the car is not registered to you you just say that isn't teh registered owner driving it.

Is anyone now more hesitant about entering the intersection when the green has been up for a while?

I just beat one yesterday and here is what I did. I filmed the intersection and showed the timing. I also got lucky and a guy ran a red...the camera did not even go off. I got lucky 15 min later when it did go off 3 times while cars went through a yellow. I argued that the reason that the camera went off is due to a guy who was chasing someone and went by me at what I guessed was just over 100 mph. I then offered that the reason I was in the photo was due to the other parties speed and timing that actually set the camera off and was not in the photo.

This was heard in Pomona Traffic court.

I have also argued, in the past, that the fine was "cruel and unsual punishment" when I had committed the violation. I know it sounds funny, but read the law...it actually is a great defense for lowering the fine or having it vacated.

Good Luck.
