Default StopTech is hiring again: Project Manager

Hello Everyone,
StopTech, a leading manufacturer of high performance brake systems located in Compton CA, continues to grow at a breakneck pace, and we are looking to expand our team again. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager, to report to our General Manager.

Purpose:
The Project Manager will be involved in the planning, scheduling, development and execution of performance brake system projects for StopTech customers. Our development team is actively engaged in designing brake conversions and upgrade products for large automotive OEMs, niche vehicle producers, and the aftermarket. We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Project Manager to help guide those efforts, who shares our passion for performance vehicles, and has extensive product commercialization experience from the automotive industry.

Essential Job Functions:
• Planning, scheduling, cost estimating projects, and coordinating work of project team through execution.
• Manage overall phase gated project from inception through launch.
• Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management to define customer requirements, product functional specification, and overall project timeline and execution plan.
• Coach and motivate a multi-disciplinary team.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Must be computer literate, capable of learning new computer software and MRP system.
• Maintain excellent team-oriented working relationships and communication among all Stoptech employees.
• Recommend alternative strategies to enhance alignment of customer product with the market.

Minimum Recruitment Standards
Minimum 3 years Project/Program Management Experience.
Experience managing multiple projects with time-sensitive deliverables for the automotive industry.
Experience/knowledge of the automotive approval process (ISIR/PPAP)
Experience in navigating off-shore production of high volume products successfully through often conflicting cost, performance and regulatory requirements.
Familiar with both N. American regulatory approval processes.

What's wrong with you SoCal people? This is the opportunity of a lifetime with an incredible company... I'm shocked there isn't more ethusiasm here.

wish i could, i only have experience in retail management no experience at all in the automotive industry.

bah, i'm a mechanical/process engineer, but no project management experience And I'm looking ot move to socal too.

Yeah, I'm a mech e also, and sent him a PM. I also lack project management experience. But I would move to SoCal in a heartbeat.
